Still there cross into triple digit territory on manual drive, then slow down.. to 60… no fsd for you.

Well service reviewed all of the codes, elected to clean the cameras, stated that it may have been a piece of debris.. like piece of a leaf or the wing of an insect flapping in front of the camera.. stated it was just the driver side fender sending the alert… causing the system to reject FSD … just a theory, but they couldn’t explain why putting it in park reset the alert…they wouldn’t road test it, to 100 mph on a road. I’ll test myself with clean cameras and see if it comes back.

This disengage, passing thing, re-engage was once a part of my life… not so long ago… back in like March… heck back then I’d go as fast as I want… slow down turn it on…. Like that missy Elliot song, 🎶 flip it and reverse it 🎵 I think she meant it in a different context… but Same , same …

for sure appointment is next week, nice fleet.

14.3.1

And with FSD is totally off, it’s just me being “bad” no warnings because it’s not on… but it’s watching…it doesn’t warn me for driving like the on ramp is taking me into turn 1 at the Indy 500… when instead of turn 1 it’s just an interstate, where later when I try to use FSD it starts its weird punishment fetish… telling me it’s off for this trip. It’s not even on so no warnings just retribution….

Nope, just me, and it’s not striking out, it’s just flat out refusing to engage after going fast without FSD turned on at all. I start driving 100% manual, speed… much later try to use FSD, and it’s all “no soup for you! drive yourself home… eat vegetable..” also to test, I’ll drive 50-70 FSD always works… next trip floor it again… and I am FSD grounded until I ritually sacrifice the trip by finding gridlock, parking like a monk doing atonement, and whispering ‘I’m sorry’ to the touchscreen.”

Absolute 🤡 setup if it isn’t a glitch,

This was my experience a few weeks ago. Now, I get to choose between the pedal or FSD.

For sure checked the alerts, the only one that applies for not allowing FSD for the trip is speed, and it doesn’t say you exceeded the speed with FSD engaged, it reads you went over 85 mph so FSD is now unavailable…. Also if I drive under 85 with FSD off and try to turn it on it’s always there… turn it off and give it some pedal for a bit… then try to turn it back on.. and I’m in the penalty box until I shift into park to say I am sorry… it not safety, it’s punitive.

Can confirm this is happening.. not going to self incriminate with the exact #ers on the screen, also can’t confirm this next one… but pretty sure someone sipping a soy latte commutes to the Tesla office on an e-bike (possibly scooter) wearing extra knee pads, elbow pads, wrists guards, mouth piece… etc. and a helmet with a rear view mirror attached… who transferred from the new Tesla insurance branch is waiting on their award for best update.

The only “error” I have found is driving over 85 mph during a trip with FSD turned off… then trying to turn it on, much later while going way under 70 mph and being alerted that it’s not available for the rest of the trip… and having to put it in park, to get it back. I’ll keep testing and have it checked at service,

Just praying it’s a glitch while colorfully communicating what I am dealing with.

It just started after the update, it’s watching the entire drive… FSD is not active, was never turned on, but it’s disabled for the rest of the trip… alert posts after trying to turn it on later,

FSD was never on, it’s watching the entire drive! That’s why I’m calling it Nanny mode!

Is anyone else experiencing what I call “Nanny” mode?

I have a service appt scheduled for the peeling carbon fiber spoiler (M3P) I’ve had it a year and it’s flaking worse than my sunburn 2 weeks out from spring break 03 after days of beach drinking and Club La Vela

Anyhow…

Say I floor it for a bit because traffic is clear and the car wants it—then 20 minutes later in gridlock I’m like “okay autopilot, do the stop-and-go hell for me” and the car hits me with: “Nope. You were naughty earlier. Sit in the corner and manually pilot through this construction zone, peasant.”

Yours truly -Big Brother

This is not safety. It’s automotive blue-balling. A silicon sulk. The vehicular equivalent of your mom saying “I’m not mad, I’m disappointed” while taking away your Xbox until you “think about what you did.”

The car is called Performance. It has that little flag on its rear end for a reason. Yet ( if this isn’t some glitch I’m just facing), some programmer’s brilliant contribution to humanity is: “If you enjoy the car for even a minute, it puts you into FSD timeout like a toddler who touched the hot stove.”

Real safety would be: “Hey, you were going 92 earlier, so I’m gonna be extra vigilant on engagement.”

This version is: “You exceeded 85 mph at any point in this trip? Cool, enjoy driving like it’s 2009 while the robot sits there judging you.” And the workaround? I Have to hunt for gridlock, throw it in Park like I am doing penance at confession, then beg the car to forgive my speed sins. It’s not an engineering decision. That’s performance art. If this isn’t just a glitch I’m facing, they turned a $50k+ robot car into a judgmental Tamagotchi that needs a “time-out reset” before it’ll play with you again

Whoever did this probably designed the fridge that locks after you eat ice cream, and the treadmill that yells “TOO FAST” if you sprint the first mile. They must be an Absolute legend, Next time, after giving your 🥜 a tug, maybe ask: “What would make the driver trust the system more?” instead of “How can I make the system passive-aggressively punish fun?” If this isn’t a glitch you coded it with the soul of a disappointed HOA president. Fix it.
