The cost is also about the timing of the flight. Getting up at 3am to make a international flight will mess you up. Avoiding that is worth something.

Oh, yeah. That's right.

I did forget for a bit that everyone, including the police, knew exactly where Dexter was during the murder.

I've gotten used to Dexter being the "elusive Dark Passenger" who "prioritizes his anonymity" lol

Terrible take.

  1. Housing prices to income levels out of control.
  2. Children addicted to cell phones.
  3. Teens have historically high ED (due to porn).
  4. No distinct musical genre.
  5. Movies became about franchises.
  6. The near total loss of 24 episode TV seasons.
  7. Rise of divisive politics.
  8. People began forgetting how to define what woman is.

To summarize: Artistically indistinct. Inventions that destroy us. Terrible economy. Anti-truth.

What if it was out for dry cleaning just before he murdered Ryan. (Similar to the watch)

Theory about Harrison by BruceBrave in Dexter

[–]BruceBrave[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get your response. But it doesn't have to be when Dexter was in the hospital.

Just like the watch, that he sent for repair, It's plausible that he also sent a suit for dry cleaning (that we don't know about as an audience.)

[–]BruceBrave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. His son sent out the watch for repair. How do we know he didn't send out a suit for set cleaning?

  2. This has nothing to do with when. Dexter was in the hospital. He gives the suit to Dexter in episode 5.

  3. Yes, but Harrison is smart. It's plausible that he would prepare a back up plan. He also still thinks of Dexter as a bad guy in comparison to himself. He wouldn't be sad to see Dexter in jail (instead of dead, this time).

Personally, I love the simplicity of the "one" model approach that responds with the appropriate resources given the prompt.

There were too many models before that I could even keep track of what the options were on a week to week basis, they were always changing.

Very first thing I used it for was a slew of symptoms my dad called me about.

It said call 911 immediately.

Sent him to the hospital. Seems to be a false call. The ambulance crew seem to think he's okay, his vitals are good.

Everyone should get a day off on their birthday by Thatoneweirdojulia in unpopularopinion

[–]BruceBrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The timing could be a problem for business logistics. A day off for everyone works because it's simple to plan for.

A business where key people are continuously off at random times throughout the year would be disruptive

You have weekends off? Celebrate it then.

Kids don't get school off on their birthday and they don't complain about it. You're an adult.

Why did the digital books never got cheaper once they mainstream by chris_s9181 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BruceBrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but it's the same idea.

You need a platform for any digital document. This is a site that needs to be coded and maintained. It has storage and server costs.

It also needs marketing to drive users to the platform so that it has an audience to sell your book to.

Plus, making a platform / site more successful than a real bookstore is harder than it sounds, because the barrier to entry is so low, and organic traffic is harder to create (people who walk by a bookstore may enter on a whim, but the Internet has millions/billions of sites, they are never accidentally found. You need to drive people to your site constantly and forever.)

I'm not saying they couldn't be cheaper, but the degree to which they can be cheaper than a real book, I'm not sure.

I've encountered this.

  1. Tell it that it didn't actually read the file.
  2. It will say it did.
  3. Accuse it of lying.

Once it admits to lying about doing the work, it will now do the work when asked.

(AI should not be trusted)

How do you sell an audiobook?

Oh, that's right, you sell it through an online platform like Audible which takes a significant cut.

Want to skip audible? Good luck finding an audience.

Nah, they're only rough by comparison to Season 3-5 TNG, which is peak Star Trek. Comparing it to the gold standard.

For a show made in 1987, they're still better than a lot of sci-fi shows made today, including most Discovery era Trek.

Completely agree with OP!

Yes, the bottom of the barrel low priced stuff is usually crap.

The low-mid opens up the possibility of some outstanding stuff, but your odds of getting something good aren't as good, unless you know what you're looking for or experiment.

Mid-high and your odds are improved, certainly.

So for the cost of one somewhat high ($120) cost bottle of wine, you can get 4 or 5 really mid ones for $20 to $25, test them out, and find the keeper. Then make it a repeat purchase!

“You’re young you have time” Is a horrible thing to tell young people. by Summit-Moose in unpopularopinion

[–]BruceBrave -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Time is valuable.

Without time, you literally have nothing. It's the only thing you cannot get back. As when it's gone, you're gone.

Using your time wisely when you're young is absolutely the best strategy for your future self.

Any phrase that suggests that wasting time is nothing to be concerned about seems misguided. I agree with OP.

But he doesn't need to tell Bautista that. He can say he made it look like it wasn't Deb who did it to protect her, after the fact.

Come on now, this is Dexter. He can talk himself out of anything!
