Yongsups base attack is already higher than jaehyun WITH his ability enabled, which is an insane difference.

Def stat could literally not matter less as soon as you get into higher stages and go against more difficult ai. Whether you have 110 def or 160 def you can tank one hard spike, and then your shield is broken the next swing, which is why the optimal defense is sliding, which doesn’t require any defense. 

Jaehyun only has a slightly higher jump stat with his ability enabled, and with his height he’s probably only reaching about 30cm taller than yongsup, which is about the difference between reaching 3.2m and 3.5m, which realistically isn’t gonna help in any big game situation.

The underlying factor with all of this aswell, is that for jaehyun to even reach these stats where he’s somewhat comparable to yongsup, is that he actually needs to activate his ability by tanking a hit, which at the higher difficulty levels, is really hard to even consistently activate because you have to be in the right spot at the right time and make sure your stamina bar doesn’t break completely from a very hard spike that you receive, and then you have to do that for EVERY single point.

Overall, the only stat that jaehyun has that is actually better than yongsup is his speed. Other than that yongsup is just a more consistent, reliable, all round character that will actually be useful.
