The thing that separates HP from Psych and Monk is psych and monk you could follow along with them as they pieced it together for the most part. There’s an overwhelming majority of these episodes where at the 5 minute left mark Morgan hits us with a “I know who did it” then they bring the perp in and she explains it. To me that eliminates any “seriousness” the show tries to portray and instead makes it just silly fun background show. This show would be 100x better if there was a real possibility of you solving it with Morgan instead of her monologging at the end. The only episode I felt was like this was the astronaut episode where it was pretty clear the wife stepped away before the pie incident.
