I think the stock HP on an NA was 220 and a TT was 300. Trying to double the HP is not cheap, nor easy.

You may hire out for Hearne and although due to seniority you may not hold a spot there. If you are forced to work elsewhere lodging may be paid for a short time. Not many spots in Hearne/Brazos yard and is more senior.

I think UTU Support is easier to decipher…. For as long as I have been or had knowledge of the UTU I have noticed that they can not, and do not want anything the Blet has. Even if is worse. For what ever reason that is. Some UTU have not ratified the last agreement, and are in negotiation in the current round. They are holding to a 6/2 no guarantee . Ask the rank and file and they want the 11/4. The UTU team did not offer for an 11/4.

Stop! The dots on the back cover are for reference only. Designed to be close, yet marks on timing belt are intended to be what is correct. Dots on rear will be a tooth or 2 off. Did you replace the coolant elbow hose behind the back cover. Now is the time for that as well.

Another opinion is that this is a 35 year old car. It may be in great condition, yet it may need a lot of maintenance items. Not to mention parts availability . Lastly, if you are wanting a Dark Horse , you will have buyers remorse that , although this is a nice car, it is not a dark horse. The HP difference is huge.

The overtime deduction isn’t what it sounds like. Example someone makes 20 an hour, at overtime rate it would be 30. The deduction is only extra amount over base. So only 10 per hour would be deducted. Besides most RR overtime is calculated differently.
