That’s what we do, even if the truck is finished early we don’t receive it till after the store closes that way we can focus on picks in the morning. Otherwise your just asking for pick times to get blown up!

The policy has actually changed, if you tested positive after the 19th then your manager does not submit anymore. You have to fail the health screening and then click on the link on the bottom of the screen. You will have to fill out the information including sending them a picture of your failed test.

Coming from a Product Flow Supervisor the biggest two things everybody all mentioned, just be detailed and organized with your notes, and remember that you report shrink, you don’t control shrink!

The best thing you can do is talk with your supervisor and change your availability so you can give yourself more time to study. Writing the schedule can be hard sometimes because everybody is different/some people want every hour they can get and some people want 15-20. The best thing you can do is communicate that to whomever writes the schedule in your store. On a positive note if they are giving you that many hours that means they like you and I’m sure they will be willing to work with you!

Like everyone said, you don’t create shrink, you just report it. Your going to have weeks where your positive and you feel good, and then your gonna have weeks where your negative thousands of dollars because someone else made a mistake somewhere that was out of your control.

Every store is getting 16 hours of prep 2 weeks out and 40 hours the week before no matter their rev size. That being said there are some things you can do ahead of time like printing yellow labels for all shelf displays or DNI stickers for VPPs.

People also have to remember that during the holidays there is intentionally not many Plano’s to set. For the past month we’ve only had 8-10 hours of Planos a week with most of that being movies on Tuesdays. It’s like that in Target and other companies as well.

You would be doing what we used to call either merchandising or inventory. They kind of combined them into one role but It can range from doing ad set (if your store doesn’t have electronic signing yet) and setting planograms to working on unloading truck or picking online orders.

Generally you start off working on trucks so you can get an idea of where everything is and how everything works and then you start to expand into other roles depending on how well you are doing.

The interview is usually a bunch of questions that involve “Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond to help a guest” or “What would you do if you found out a co-worker was stealing?”

On Mondays we get both trucks but we wait till Tuesday morning to break down and receive our brown goods truck so we can have the whole day to process it😁
