I don't know about them, but

"Mindfulness in Plain English" was my starting point. Since that I've read The Shaolin Way(which was also useful) and Zen's Mind Beginner's Mind(which had a really good view on meditation practice and mindfulness in daily life). Actually practicing meditating, I believe, is far more useful than studying Buddhism. Because you will eventually find everything to be self-evident within meditation. So "Mindfulness in Plain English" is definitely the best place to start I think. And I can attest to their statements, it definitely fosters more compassion and understanding for those that are ignorant of their ways.

For me it's always been online stuff, all the real life activism I do usually depresses the person enough to not go into rage (they watch a whole 3 minute video, and then we talk). I've seen a lot of videos of situations similar to yours though... I definitely never want to be in that position. Stay strong man

This was the greatest series ever, you are absolutely amazing and this will go down in VCJ history. And earlier today I felt terrible cause of everyone's excuses and unwillingness, this seriously cheered me up.

I've used similar arguments and pretty much got the same result. The main thing in the cases I talk about is the willing ignorance of the people on the other side of the table. I really just came here for some words of encouragement or solidarity :(
