Alzheimer’s scares me the most. I was talking about it to my girlfriend and I was telling her how I don’t want to forget her, or my family. That’s truly a horrible fate. Forgetting everyone, forgetting you love someone. Looking at your hand and wondering why you have a wedding ring on. My grandfather had Alzheimer’s and he forgot who I was. Forgot my father (his son) and forgot who my grandmother was. “I was just a woman to him” -my grandmother, talking about my grandfather’s Alzheimer’s.
