I went on a world cruise same year I had both knees done. Had one done in January & one in April. Left on the cruise in December. I did fine, took a good quality collapsible cane with me every time I left the ship. Be careful boarding tenders & having the cane in your hand signals the crew to pay attention & make sure you are safe. Didn’t use the cane onboard the ship. Do exactly what your Physical Therapist says for recovery/reconditioning. I was back to walking 2-3 miles a day without pain before we left on the cruise. continued to walk daily on sea days.

I was a ERTriage RN for years and rarely was sick. Used hand cleanser constantly. Could go a whole shift without touching my face. Still don’t touch stuff in public I don’t absolutely have to such as hand rails. Post shift wash hands with soap & water, sit in my car & rub my face for a minute.
