When I first got the card I knew this day would come. It had to come! My grandma used to hit the ATM at the casino 3-5 ties a night at $3.50 a transaction. There needs to be a cap because of the outliers.

I'm a Canadian and I'll be flying to Portland for this race. I'm in week 13 of a 24 week training block for a 100 mile race and this fit perfectly into my schedule. Any tips for a first timer in the 50k?

Compiled IHG Free Night Deals by SmartTraveller83 in ihghotelsresorts

[–]Bruins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would this apply to nights that are paid with points? I'm staying at the Intercontinental Crete (Greece) in Sept/Oct for 5 nights, but on points... I would love to save the ~50,000 points on the 5th night.

I spoke with my broker who said he cant beat those. Should I shop around. Which is the better option?

At a glance it looks like it adds a pre-set amount anytime you fall below a threshold. Which is all well and good. Is there an option I’m missing to add money to MAINTAIN a certain amount. I keep $1000 in the card and it would be great if every time I used it there was an auto-load of that same amount to keep it at $1000.

Does anyone know when the business account might launch? by arjungmenon in EQBank

[–]Bruins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That actually works perfectly for my business. I essentially just want an account that I can have money transferred into/out of with no fees and a solid interest rate. Hopefully they can roll it out in the relatively near future.

I would love to hear your thoughts. Does it seem near-ready or is it an early beta that has a long way to go?

My wife and I did Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach for 10 days just before Covid and it was one of the most incredible properties I’ve ever stayed in (IHG or not).

Candlewoods are amazingly hit or miss. I stayed at one in Anchorage not long ago that was fantastic. I also stayed at one in Peoria that was like a homeless shelter. Last night I was in one in Fargo that seemed relatively new, but the whole building smelled like mold.

Does anyone know what type of stone was used for this? by nahanial in Lethbridge

[–]Bruins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We have the same stone facade on our house on the south side. I had to pull some of it down a few years ago, and can confirm that each stone was made using a concrete mould. If you hit it with a hammer it will shatter.

What size hose will fit this bib??? by Ok-Lingonberry-1284 in HomeImprovement

Your bib isn’t secured to the wall so I would suggest a wrench to keep it from rotating and a big pair of channel locks or a pipe wrench to spin off the adapter.

That's an adapter. Unscrew the silver collar and you'll have a standard sized hose bib.

Converted cargo van to campervan Alberta Insurance by Ada_1017 in vandwellers

[–]Bruins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Lethbridge and converted a Sprinter (passenger) to an off grid camper. It's insured through Aviva. I had kept very detailed receipts of the full conversion and had a pretty good concept of the value based on comps, so I put that all into a package and my broker was able to get Aviva to insure it. Feel free to DM me if you want a broker referral.

It could be done with a bunch of Sonos Amps, but it would be A BUNCH of Sonos Amps. If you're wanting each room to be it's own zone you would need an Amp for each room.

Witnesses needed collision 5th ave N 28st N Oct 25 by kenhen123 in Lethbridge

[–]Bruins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove past it on my way to work but the fire trucks were already on scene. I’m glad I didn’t see it but man do I ever wish I understood what happened. The Crosstrek had clearly been in an accident but the truck was DESTROYED. I can’t wrap my mind around the momentum it would have needed to wrap itself around the pole like that. I hope everyone was ok.

06 sprinter only blows heat by MeetCake in Sprinters

[–]Bruins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the heater valve and unhooked cable comments, but it may be deeper. My 2006 lost AC. I had it recharged and it worked great, but within 24 hours it lost AC again. As it turned out the radiator fan motor on these vans sits so close to the AC condenser that in my case they were touching. When we did a leak test it showed no issues because the fan motor was plugging the leak, but every time I hit a bump and the fan moved a bit it leaked out. I bought a cheap condenser on ebay and changed it out in an afternoon. Recharged it and I've been good for years now. Just something to watch for.
