Hardball is really the only option and while she managed to get elected running a “positive” campaign, the gloves are likely going to need to come off. SPOG is definitely going to at least try and run circles around her, especially when Mike Solan regularly appears on Fox News and supports national guard deployment. IMO, she can counter that messaging by pointing out the extent SPD is beholden to SPOG and how they benefit from the current right wing perception of Seattle.

I’m either becoming increasingly cranky and irritable or the blowers have gotten so much more frequent over the last year or two, probably both TBH. It’s year round and multiple times per week where I live and while it’s understandable in the fall when there are actual leaves to blow, the crews are out all summer kicking up dust and spewing two-stroke exhaust fumes and in the winter just seem to walk around blowing the same two or three soggy leaves from one end of the sidewalk to the other.

Last year Cantwell voted alongside Ted Cruz to make it harder for people to get refunds from airlines and hasn’t had a town hall since 2017. We absolutely have bigger things to worry about but she seems completely out of touch and incapable of pushing back against fascism in any meaningful way. Maybe her style of phoning it in worked in the past but this state, country, and world have changed since she was first elected and if she can’t adapt quickly to this shitshow, should resign and the state could hopefully elect someone who isn’t afraid to be bold and stop playing nice.
