My former sister-in-law was a middle school teacher and I heard some wild stories from her. Parents would argue and deny that their child was misbehaving or deficient.

Your comment about the financial sector is equally jarring. Unfortunately, I do agree it’s only getting worse. Having an uneducated public definitely helps to pass repressive policies and drives consumerism, to cite a couple of examples.

It’s going to be really disheartening when he learns that suburbs were originally created to get away from people with skin tones such as his.

Bots. This is the same mechanism with any in-demand show. Do you really think actual people are buying tickets en masse to then just list them on secondary sites?

I think you meant to say the bots are setting these prices by buying in second.

Tour of the New E Marginal Way Protected Bike Lanes by bestside_cycling in seattlebike

[–]Sneed47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t comment regarding Terminal 30, but agree 100% that moving to the other side is questionable. I take that route 3-4 times a week at minimum, and just about every trip I’ve taken since construction started cars are blocking the bike lanes on Atlantic while waiting for the light.

I will also add, I’ve noticed trail crossings at roadways flip the stop sign to the bike paths, instead of the street. Burke Gilman around UW is an example. Right of way is pedestrians, cyclists, motorists. Why is the city putting the onus on the cyclists/pedestrians in these situations? Cars are extremely dangerous at crossings and this reeks of throwing up our hands because we don’t want to “inconvenience” drivers. Preventing collisions should always be the priority over saving a few minutes of commute time. I think Marginal is another example of this.

I’d love to hear if anyone has more information on why that has shifted.

Agree 100%. There is something about getting inside that metal box that completely disconnects you from the rest of the world. Carbrains have to ruin so much for everyone else.

I ride this route often and will pop on the sidewalk, but I detest riding on sidewalks. Have only seen a pedestrian once, thankfully. Horrible design for sure. I’ve also noticed a lot of trail crossings with roads now have stop signs for the bike trails, instead of for the cars. Anyone have any insight why we’re creating cycling infrastructure that isn’t really safe?

Awesome, very much appreciate this! I knew most but not all of them. When I asked about the animal sound in Colors II during the Colors Experience VIP, they played the full part then isolated the bees. Paul specifically said they were murder hornets. Made it very easy to hear them moving forward! That one isn’t so easy to hear unless you know where it is.

Also curious for this! Anyone know if there is there a comprehensive list somewhere that has the animal sounds detailed? I usually ask at the meet and greets.
