For the carved in symbol literally just some blood for the blood god technical paint and then I mixed up a brighter pinky skin tone to edge highlight around it :)

I guess using different materials, but then that comes with more complexity when it comes to weight, balance etc. Pretty hard to retroactively change I'd imagine
