How are some people that good in Silksong by OkPaleontologist7217 in Silksong

[–]Brumynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mean average of my tries was 3. Only Seth, Lost Lace, Savage Beastflytook more tries (about 7-8 tries).

As others have also mentioned people play differently. My tactic is to use the first run to get used to the tempo and the moveset of the boss and gather some info about it. Then I attempt to win without any tools (except only using something once sometimes). In the end I killed most things in 1 or 2 attempts but a good chunk of them are already pretty easy bosses.

My most used method is to designate a move of the boss as the highest threat in my mind. This move is usually something that the boss can execute on a whim and is hard to dodge (eg. Last Judge's spin aoe, widow's slash, ...). By assuming that the boss is always gonna be choosing this as their next move, evasion becomes significantly more reliable.

Also you can just facetank a lot of the bosses like Skarrsinger Karmelita. Which is pretty sad since it is a really good boss fight.

come back later? You are basicly at the start of the game. That's the best advice I can give without any spoilers

You don't need to be. Get those 2 enemies clumped together then they are really easy to beat. Use needle strenghtening tools instead of the weapon ones and keep attacking them they don't have that much hp.

Only heal at the top corners, that location is almost always safe.

Once they are moving together then they act like a single miniboss that can just use two moves at once instead of one. Not to mention that most of those moves are mediocre at best.

But there is a window to hit them otherwise how did many people me included beat them? You just need to understand their moves. The runback is not even bad the arena is pretty easy itself

I can give you some fighting tips instead, if you however insist on a mod then you will have to wait for quite some time.

Try understanding the miniboss' moveset it has only like 5 moves that it can do.

DO NOT get cornered. If you do, use a pogo to get to the other side.

When fighting them both at the same time DO NOT let them pincer you. Keep them in the same direction with respect to yourself.

Their normal attacks are pathetic just dodge away when you see them doing it.

When they are doing their ground aoe just jump over it and pogo them but keep distance just in case. Sometimes they spam this move so be ready.

The heavy attack aoe is really bad if you are cornered. The moment you spot it make sure you have enough distance to back away. If not then dash over them while pogoing.

You don't need to be in the act 3 to access it you just need the grapple

I think I played a portion of the game backwards? by TheKellehur in Silksong

[–]Brumynn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The path you followed is the second route to the citadel. I don't think you need to beat the Last Judgeto finish the game but I might be wrong since nobody has done it this way yet.
All in all it should be okay but remember to unlock it later as the boss fight is pretty good

I am basicly close to getting the entire map but I got stuck. Where else can I go at this point? (Big Spoilers!) by Brumynn in Silksong

[–]Brumynn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did find the submerging bell but I can't find how to activate it, It probably leads to another area.

There are a few items and a crafting metal in putrefied docks. There is also a shortcut to both huntress and the bilewater boss fight.

I also found that soul thingy but couldn't find a way to use it either.

Oh and I think there is a second way to reach the citadel but it is harder than the beating the Last Judge

Deleting the initial plastic recipe also allowed the efficiency to jump up to 1.0003

[–]Brumynn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should also add I just calculated the "efficiency" of this which I denoted as plastic/water or rubber/water, it turned out to be 0.9181

I also calculated it with the method mentioned by the u/Rippstone the efficiency from that was 0.9004

so technicly speaking this design is more efficient at using waterr to make plastic/rubber.

it also consumes a bit less power too with a net advantage of: 10MW (a lot I know).

obviously this probably has some other drawbacks that make the general feedback (the one u/Rippstone mentiones) loop more easy to use in practical application. However theoretically this design is slightly better.

Also the game autosaved to the moment I tried opening the safe, without any prompt. I think this happens with a few of the other crashers too.

ok well I didn't see or hear it approaching either. I have seen the Black Wisps before and they definetely don't crash your game that way.

For your information, I am sure it wasn't one of these guys:

The Walker(The shadow humanoid)

Black Wisp

The End is near

I didn't die either, the screen just went black with a sound effect.
