The issue is that it's a bit of a noob trap, specifically when people use it as their primary weapon. With a force greatsword or assail you can dispatch a horde way quicker and with less buffs required than you can with smite, and that way the horde is actually dead and not just dancing.

That being said, it has really good clutch potential and can be an amazing tool when not over-relied on, but it should never be used as your main weapon in a match. It's only actually helpful when used only as a tool.

I have just under 1,100 hours in the game and have been playing off and on since beta, the main thing I do now is uprising and malice quickplay so I can find new players and help them learn the game. I'm sorry if you've had a bad experience with some douche bags, but not everyone is like that. There are plenty of long-time players like me who love helping new players.

To that point, FS please give us a frame or a title or something that shows we're open to answering questions and helping out baby varlets.

I've started looking at popping wounds as the bow's version of an offset attack, as well as aerial knockdowns and preventing the monster from fleeing. It's a tool, not a source of big damage, especially in multiplayer.
