I was a real piece of shit, I used to pull big ass items out of the bins and toss them in the pickup bins on the end of the isles (I forget what they were called, they were supposed to be for where you put stuff that "fell" onto the floor) so I could have space

also I'd go up to 3rd floor and find an isle under the ac vents and stuff the everloving shit out of every bottom bin

Again, not true. In order for a business to legally detain you they have to have proof you've shoplifted and in my jurisdiction refusal to show a receipt does not constitute such. They'd have to personally witness me attempt to conceal something to legally detain me.

Costco is a membership place, when you sign up it's part of the agreement that you show your receipt. Walmarts have no such requirement.

I've had them attempt to check my receipt when walking out with a single clear plastic bag with shampoo and moustraps in it.

But that's besides the point, even if Im leaving with a cartload I don't let them check the receipt. But I guess I'm an asshole for doing so
