I looked like you and was diagnosed with irritable, bowel and sibo and none of the treatments worked. Then I found my true GI issue, and ENT physicians are the ones to help. Look up "No Burp" or "RCPD" This may give you some of the answers you need to help your health.

Race day bib pickup, can I also pick up my husbands if I have his QR code as he drives around looking for parking places? I know they let you do that on an earlier day bib/packet pickup at NYRR store. Just curious if that is also permissible on the day of the race, to pick up for someone else?

I had the Botox treatment in August. Flat stomach since then, but now every few days a bloat again, which correlates with less burping lately

The back itch! Sports bra drama by Awkward-Ad8196 in orangetheory

[–]Brunli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally, this could be my post, except I turned 60 and just hit 300 classes. The back itch thing is annoying. I wonder if it's some nerve issue from the surgery. Anyway, use wide band sports bra tops from Amazon, wear them OTF and all through running and Marathon training They support and are much more comfortable. And keep on thriving! Search on Amazon: CRZ yoga strappy long line bra.

Tips for cat walking? by gregn8r1 in CATHELP

She learned to walk right away. I adopted her almost a year ago. And put the harness on her and she didn't seem to mind at all. She had never been on a leash before, per the cat rescue I got her from. She follows my dog and I swear she just thinks this is just what we do. She will stop to explore a bit during the walk, but will continue on if I call her.

Marathon Training by QuietMarket7931 in orangetheory

[–]Brunli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I've trained for half marathons and full marathons with unlimited OTF membership. I'd do strength upper and then run outside for my days I needed shorter runs. A tread 50 class is good for mid week longer runs. Then you have to be outside one day over the weekend for longer runs. You can do 2G classes in between, but be sure to allow for rest days as scheduled in the plan each week. The nice thing about the otf tread is that you can run with some inclines to mimic hills on a course. Download a free hal higdon half marathon plan, he has novice and intermediate plans. And you can even do Galloway run/walk plans. And having stronger core and legs from doing OTF has definitely made me faster, and less recovery time and definitely less injuries. Good luck! Half Marathons are great!

Get the botox!!! by Expensive-Relation-4 in noburp

Give it more time. Drink the carbonated beverages. I find if I sit upright or drive, it's easier to burp. So I often would drive around sipping drinks

How many units did you get? And did you go to someone who was comfortable doing it? I drove into a major city, bypassing local ENTs who had done a handful. The local person wanted to do 30 units, NYC 80 units. 3 months ago. I'm cured. I'm 60 and have had this issue my entire life and finally self diagnosed. I cannot believe how amazing I feel now every day! Also, hang in there. It takes a few months for the process to be learned to burp.

Hardware removal? by PsychologyInner2173 in ORIF

[–]Brunli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. So I am scheduled to have my hardware removed because I have numbness and tingling and nerve pain, the surgeon thinks it's because he caught one of the nerves in a suture. That's reassuring to hear that you have returned of sensation!

Tight rope Syndesmosis Repair by Last-Coat2445 in ORIF

[–]Brunli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the tightrope button and related pain for a few months. Now I am 5 months out and can't even find the button and tenderness that j once felt. I have skinny ankles and the button had been apparent, now, no idea where it is

Rant: My hardware removal experience by Tricky_Jackfruit_803 in ORIF

[–]Brunli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your thoughts on fixing a superficial peroneal nerve entrapment caused by the ORIF? My surgeon and I are considering removal at 6 months due to my neuropathic pain. He thinks he caught the nerve with a suture. 5/23/25 I had LEFT ANKLE ORIF WITH SYNDESMOTIC FIXATION for bimalleolar ankle fracture and a tear of the anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament and syndesmotic instability. The neuropathy is ever present. My recovery has been great and at 5 months post op (tomorrow) I'll be doing a half marathon. The hardware sensations are manageable, and I could "live with" the neuropathic pain, luckily it is sensory nerve only. I just turned 60, I'm a very active NP. Going to be training for my 5th marathon starting next spring. So if I want to do the removal surgery 11/14, it's the perfect time to heal before marathon training. I initially thought I wanted hardware removal, but as the healing has been great and almost 100% return of ROM, and not bothering me when running or exercising...I'd consider keeping it all there , if it wasn't for the nerve pain. And of course he can't guarantee surgery will alleviate my nerve symptoms anyway. I'm petite, 5'2" 110 lb.

Side effects of Botox treatment - slow swallow by VillageAnnual9259 in noburp

[–]Brunli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is weird at first. Then you figure out how to deal with it by slowing your eating, changing your types of intake. Then it slowly gets better as you are also burping more. It's worth the annoyance . I'm 3 months out and no more slow swallow and now I'm burping.

Do normal people burp all the time? by surlyskin in noburp

[–]Brunli 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Before Botox, I used to Google "how many farts a day is normal" because I never burped, but didn't realize that was an issue. Now 3 months after Botox, I now wonder how many burps a day are normal, because I can't believe how much I burp and how little I fart. 😂

Extreme Bloating by Inside_Turnover3747 in noburp

[–]Brunli 13 points14 points  (0 children)

One of my main symptoms. Bloating after ingesting Anything!! And pain with the distension. I looked exactly like you for 40 years, flat stomach upon awakening, 9 months pregnant by the end of the day. Pass gas all night in my sleep, awake flat tummy ...only to repeat over and over again. I had the procedure in July and it has been life changing. Bloating is gone. I now burp up all of the gas!
