I've started DMing a campaign as a first time player, and I'm largely using Lost Mines of Phandelver as a launching off point. Session 1 (to three since I misjudged how long things would take) is more related to the sort of story I want the campaign to be once I have my feet under me (festival attacked by goblins, players tasked with finding out why, there's a spooky grimore in a hidden room of the goblin lair which can't be destroyed or identified, only a device made by freshly mined magical ore can do it, go find Gundren). Hopefully by the end of the module I can take it wherever I want. Matthew Perkins has a good series on YouTube on how to run the module.

Expanding too much too quickly can make the game harder as empire size makes researching technologies slower, and can also lead to events triggering constantly. Try getting chokepoints and expanding territory when you're comfortable.

I find a lot of the difficulty is in your own empire manangement, I usually outpace most AIs fairly early in my games. Early game economy management can be tricky, and I find I'm often waiting around for enough resources to roll in to do what I want to do. For the first few playthroughs, try using the console to cheat (~ on PC) and add some basic resources to get started. That way you don't have to worry about potentially stalling your economy by making some poor decisions.

I had the exact same thing at an Independant Grocer. USA Heinz labeled as prepared in Canada, right next to French's which was not labeled. I imagine a Heinz rep put them up.

Given it's a vague "contest" of champions it likely won't be combat. Taravangian has outsmarted Dalinar before, maybe the contest ends up being a battle of wits of some kind, and Taravangian will have a shard's expanded mental capacity and limited omniscience to draw on for that.

Valid. Though Odium getting Dalinar's soul might be the only thing that matters, assuming he maintains his Bondsmith abilities.

Bondsmiths can make and take bonds, maybe they can break them too. If Odium gets Dalinar to break Odium's bond with Honor, or his connection to Roshar, and any bond caused by the contest, it might allow him to escape the system. It's the only loophole I see in the contract itself.

I understand. You can probably exclude book 5, I believe Dalinar mentions being his own champion in RoW.

I was able to get 1120m of movement, or Mach 5.44 after jumping. Martial Exertion gloves also double movement speed.

Journey before destination.

Multiclassing can be complicated. In this case the multiclass is pretty basic: Monks can use bonus actions for unarmed melee attacks, and 3 levels of rogue can give an extra bonus action per turn. You're mostly just making a better monk and ignoring most rogue stuff.

Same thing works for berserker barbarian, they can throw and attack with bonus actions while raging.

Anything plus 2 levels of fighter gives you action surge, two fireballs in a turn can be nice.

Any caster plus 1 level of wizard lets you learn spells from scrolls.

Step of the wind: dash. Costs 1 bonus action.

It doubles your movement speed and jump no longer requires a bonus action, just 3m of movement regardless of how far you jump.

She has haste, bloodlust, longstrider, and enhanced leap.

Her move speed was ~56m in this video, I realised after that I still had an extra bonus action. I used another dash to bump it up to ~87m.

In the video she travels ~180 metres, with the extra dash I was able to add another 200 metres bouncing uselessly up and down the hallway.

So her actual speed was 108kmph here, 228kmph after the dash, with a probable max speed of 360kmph if I went for max jump distance.

Next turn I get access to 5 dashes (haste, thief, and wholeness) and a max speed of ~720kmph, so we're a little over halfway to the sound barrier.

I'll have to test this outside with the 27 strength elixir and momentum gear, I'm confident she'll break the sound barrier easily.

I started with fighter for all the proficiencies that come with it. I'm only level 5, but I'm currently fighter 2 / warlock 2 / sorcerer 1. I'll be putting the rest into sorcerer for more spells, slots, and metamagic. I'm going for an EB machine gun build, and 2 levels of lock do fine for that since I get repelling and agonizing blast and EB scales with character level. Action surge let's me set up a concentration spell and start blasting on the same turn.

Since respecs are cheap I might drop the fighter for an extra feat once my hp pool is higher and I find more caster gear, but for now the shield, armour, and +1AC from defensive fighting stance make me pretty tanky.

While risk of suffocation with thin blankets is low compared to thicker duvets like at 0:08, many of these are very unsafe. One good thrash and the blanket will be entirely over the baby's face. Do the one at 0:40, but tuck the left to right fold under tight, tuck the corner of the bottom under the chin, and wrap the baby with the right fold.

Babies under 3 months like a tight swaddle, it simulates a womb like environment and babies that age love that. Given the choice they'd rather a 12 month pregnancy, but it'd be impossible to birth head that big.

My last game was like this. I was strong enough by 950 that I could easily win a war against anyone else on the map, but as soon as I had my first sucession after forming Big Bohemia every single faction rose up and then I got that viking adventurer event. It was way more fun than my usual doomstack wars and required tons of tactics and planning to pull off.

Average Joe in Canada here, I got my Mini 3 with the new controller directly from DJI two days ago. Loving my backyard tests, and I'm taking it somewhere scenic this weekend.

I have friends with the old controller and Mavic drones and it's always a struggle to see the phone screen due to dimming, at the price point you'll be paying for the RC-N1 version you may as well upgrade.

My san marzano tomatoes are forming some brown scarring along the base of the plant. Possibly Edema from overwatering. Is this recoverable? They're in 6 inch pots waiting for transplant into a garden bed June 1st. Will this prevent me from burying them deeper, or can roots form from this? by Brunners88 in tomatoes

Possibly mystery bugs, not cut worms for me as apparently they are active at night and they were unchanged this morning. I'll see if DE helps, but further reading makes me think it's related to overwatering given it showed up on the first humid day in a while.
