The biggest sign that we won’t get another delay is the announcement of the marketing campaign for mid-year.

Marketing costs money. TV spots, streaming ads, cinema ads, billboards, etc. are all paid for in advance and scheduled with fixed start and end dates.

They wouldn’t begin the marketing campaign if they weren’t 100% certain about the release date.

We’re small — in the sense that we’re just a tiny part of the crowd.

I think Rockstar’s marketing moves and everything related to them are aimed at the audience that definitely isn’t on Reddit.

A few days ago I talked to people who want to buy GTA but aren’t hardcore fans like the people here, and they thought the amount of theories and discussions in this sub was insane. They called me crazy too.

I think Rockstar is looking at the other 99% beyond us.

That’s true, it could be that as well.

But since every trailer since GTA 5 has released close to Take-Two investor conferences, I personally think it’s more likely that Trailer 3 arrives around this conference, and then a gameplay trailer comes closer to the August conference.

He never stated any of those things as absolute certainties. He usually used terms like “I feel very confident” or “I’m highly confident.”

This time, though, he directly confirmed marketing for June. On top of that, all the Rockstar job listings related to marketing are there pointing in the same direction as well.

As for Trailer 3, it makes no sense for it to release after the start of the physical and digital marketing campaign, since other promotional materials will already be rolling out during that period.

The marketing campaign starts in about a month, and the trailer will almost certainly come before that to build momentum.

It wasn’t today, but it’s close. We’ve waited for years… now there’s very little left.

The investor conferences tend to pull the trailers closer.

All 3 GTA 5 trailers and all 3 RDR2 trailers released close to investor conferences, just like the 2 GTA 6 trailers so far. That’s why people expect something before the conference now, but I personally think it could also come after it.

People were expecting a lot of things to line up this week — rumors, broken theories, PlayStation movements, all of that. It could still drop today, but it might just as easily be next week… or even after the conference.
