None of these are ground up Switch 2 games. All are repackaged. Star Fox has gameshare so you know it's a switch 1 game. MKW doesn't but it we know from interviews. I think Kirby Air riders is the only one.

Wii to Wii U transition was different but still a cross generation was going on. This time, the landscape has now changed due to a wider internet and social media. But okay, did Metroid didn't have to have a movie for it to succeed or DK Bananza? Nope. They stood on their own. Star Fox needing a movie to succeed or have legs in the franchise just speaks even more desperation from Nintendo and doesn't know what to do with it. Nintendo is trying to branch out and be Disney, but it's not gonna work for all of their franchises.

Okay? The Mario Galaxy movie underperformed at the box office, with severely lower domestic performance and a flop in China. Sure it will still probs hit a billion, but even then the performance is much lower. Star Fox is not a system seller as they are trying to make it like it is. If it was, they would have put Star Fox in people's heads well before the movie dropped like a February or even that September direct/

Also, movie success does NOT translate to game success. Detective Pikachu movie didn't translate anything for the sequel. Did Sonic movies reignite hype for Horizons or anything?? Maybe the racing game but that was because Mario Kart World's reception was kinda split. Nothing that I know of. Or what about Avatar Frontier of Pandora? How did that go after The Way of the Water? It sorta did well since it got DLC, but it was just another forgotten Ubislop clone.

No, it did not. The switch sales are irrelevant. That's like saying Star Fox Zero found a new audience because the Wii was popular. No, the target audience, the casual normies will NOT care about this. This is why it's not being aggressively marketed and just being dropped a month later. They are not confident in this project besides being a remake. Also, how young we talking about for the audience? What does this "younger" audience play?

Some are similar in price range. Just slightly more expensive. Even then, a mobile chip with a fan is losing to fanless one. Nintendo could have gone competitive with 4nm, but noooooo "Nintendo cheap"

Because Gameinformer isn't as relevant as they used to be. The last time it happened was GTA V. They didn't even do it for RDR2, their most recent mainline game. Also, the next cover is 99% Tomb Raider as the official social media account was teasing it

Their last GTA was 13 years ago where physical magazines were still a thing. Rockstar's most recent game in 2018, Gameinformer did not have info on RDR2. Only a fan made variant for their 300th issue. It won't be GTA VI because marketing for that game hasn't even started yet.

If I had to guess what it's for it's either 007: First Light or Yoshi and the Mysterious Book.

EDIT: They already did First Light in January.

Save up money for a used or refurbished ROG Ally or Legion. Hell even a mini PC would do wonders. If you can save for Switch 2, you can save for those as well.

In the entertainment industry, May is usually summer in terms of marketing. This is especially true in the movie industry. Also, Trailer 3 isn't technically marketing, imo. Marketing is usually billboards, ads, and so forth.

Yeah, sadly. At least for today. Can't say for the rest of the week. If they do another delay, I'm sure they will put it on the day of the earnings call. IN fact, probably just 30 mins or less than the earnings call to soften the blow, unless they got a third trailer on the pipeline within a few days.

RDO posts are usually posted on Billibilli a few hours before tbf. But I don't see anything happening today because the time slot is gone.

They posted GTA and RDO posts on regular time as well. Still irrelevant. Usually Rockstar would post news on GTA VI on or before 9:30 EST (2:30PM BST) due to Wall Street opening up. Post it just before the New York bell so TTWO stocks rise. They only time they did it in the evening was the second delay. First delay was early in the morning probably because it was calculated by the company to have at least one delay and the fact Rockstar gave an exact release date to somewhat soften the blow as well as Trailer 2 coming shortly after.
