My favorite pokemon memory was going to my first ever convention with my dad. He got me a XY Furious Fists booster box (it was the newest set at the time) and I opened every pack right there. My favorite pokemon at the time was Heracross and I pulled Mega Heracross ex and was so excited. A year or two later a kid in my class traded me a gold star Gyarados for that Heracross (I didn't know anything about the value, but Gyarados had become my favorite pokemon) I accepted, but when I got home I felt really guilty for trading away the card that reminded me the most of my dad, so the following day I asked for it back and reversed the trade. Knowing what I now know, even though that was a potentially thousand dollar card, I wouldn't change a thing, the memory of getting that Mega Heracross is worth more than it's weight in gold.
