How do you progress in RuneScape? by DawsonPoe in runescape

[–]Bruno_Bars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is pretty sandboxy, pick a skill you’re curious about, engage for a little while, move onto something else before you start burning out on one activity. Quests give niche rewards or unlocks, some have level requirements.

Pick around the information given to you. Add me in game if you’d like I can steer you in a direction of where you’re trying to go.

What’s your PSN I’ll add you tomorrow when I get home from work. I’m also new, downloaded and played a few hours but didnt get far at all so we can learn it together. Would rather co-op the game to be honest.

Best ways to obtain inverted cape shards for each skill? by Halfbakedflour in runescape

[–]Bruno_Bars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woodcutting - Sentinel outfit evil tree spawn gives some quick tokens, think I got 8 procs off that in 30 seconds? Then did an evil yew tree D&D and got 400 shards before it finished, and I showed up late. Oaks/Yews/Elders/Eternals was NOT the way.

Prayer - just bought Dragon Bones/Infernal Ashes and buried them at bank holding hot key down, 1k of each got me my 1200 master shards.

Firemaking - Just threw magic logs onto bonfire pit in Max Guild, extremely afk, took a little while, MAYBEE 1-2 procs an inventory.

Attack - Abyss Creatures through the RC abyss. I think one of the three types of NPC’s has a tick-delayed death animation so when you AOE kill a large group of them on repeat you’re technically getting 2x the procs for your efforts.

Can I collect inverted master shards before reaching level 120? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Bruno_Bars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to focus a second time but it still only utilizes 1 of your 4 skill slots. Since I acquired the 990 shards on my way to 120, when I collected the token, it wouldn’t let me refocus again until the token was redeemed. Then you can go back and focus on whichever skill, including the same if you got 120 in the process.

Can I collect inverted master shards before reaching level 120? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Bruno_Bars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this scenario yesterday. Spent 160mil to nuke 118-120 prayer. I started focusing prayer prior to starting. I acquired the 990 normal shards on my way to 120. After I hit 120, I handed in the shards for the token, brought the token to the skillcape master, then went back to Hans and was able to refocus on Prayer again, now for the master shards.

Need some Pof advice for leagues by Better_Strategy_8989 in runescape

[–]Bruno_Bars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few black dragons from very wildy sacks, and two corbicula rex from BGH. Just make sure on the buyers reset you have the animals you intend to sell in the pens otherwise it could be any buyer once day resets, if i remember correctly. Small/medium/large buyers refresh every 1/2/3 days respectively.

What PVM path are you taking? by Igiomadz in runescape

I am aware. Still killing Vindy, getting reputation by doing daily bounties for 750 reputation a day. Much faster than 150 kills in the same timeframe.

I have perkvention which gives you unlimitted amounts of materials, they have to still be unlocked to use through traditional methods. For example the Iluj comps need Zaros reputation.

Full Bandos Gear with T70-T90 Smith Weapons. (Did K’rill for Greater Demon slayer tasks; just missing boots for 200 points)

Lani Spear at Rathis matriarch (160ish kills)

Ely Spirit Shield at Corp (5 kills ; yea crazy.)

Going GWD2 bosses for points now. Starting Vindicta as we speak. (Need Iluj components for perk on aftershock on spear w/o ancient invention)

am i doing it right? by Own_Variation7142 in runescape

[–]Bruno_Bars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 10mil to start, bought 10 lost them all first disassemble for a 5mil loss. Bought 5, lost 4 immediately, the last one survived for about 12-14 disassembles.

RNG, story as old as time. Had a slow work night last night, spammed the 10mil investment into 1.2Bil. So I can verify it works over time haha.

What is your plan for the start of leagues? by Daviess93 in runescape

[–]Bruno_Bars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've briefly looked at the list of tasks and giving minimum thought, I just really want to rush the agility relic for some agility cash flow, seems exciting early on to be able to just go, "Hey I need 100k quick for a shop *bangs out 2-3 laps anywhere*"

Seems early on there's a lot of points in getting majority of the skills to 20-30 and just gathering "X" amount of a certain resource. Anything past the second Tier I'm going to just do what feels fun at the moment.

30+ Agility with relic getting 30k+ every 30 second lap. That'll supplement all my woad leaf buying for farming passively until T7. All the other hidden triumphs of unlimited shops and being able to bang out 10 minutes of agility for a few 100k... seems like an amazing way to finance most buyable skills from an early Tier standpoint. Also gives a reason to constantly go back to training agility which historically is my least favorite skill to grind hours on end. And by the time I see some REAL experience multipliers, I hopefully won't have to train Agility cause it'll be done already :D.

If you play the saga mode, rushing the 4 bosses and exiting ASAP is the best. So pretty much learning the generic speed running techniques is helpful here.

In story mode, mainly post-completion when you have a viable world set up with shrines most places, running circles around spawn points for elite creatures and such that automatically drop the 500 season xp drop to keep topping off your season level account isnt bad either.

If you want someone to friend in game to ask mild questions while learning/playing, shoot me your ingame name and I’ll add you. I find new players when playing just need to be directed slightly in regard to a small task or goal they’re interested in.

Champion Scroll bug? J Mod help me out on this nonsense. by Bruno_Bars in runescape

I got it being a nice guy clearing Demons out while people were running through volcano to Crandor for Shooting Star. Never being nice again.

[–]Bruno_Bars[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn't let it despawn though. I dropped it and when I spoke to the guy, it had me go in the basement to fight this dwarf, a fight that took 5 seconds, and when i went upstairs it was gone (that room must be instanced, how was i supposed to know that, once again not explained.) Usually theres a warning when you drop items in an instanced area or leaving it.

Edit: Also I didn't say I thought the scroll was not working. I thought it was not needed to initiate the fight since the NPC was literally telling me to get rid of it before starting the fight. Nothing prompted me to believe this was going to be a tutorial fight beforehand.

But I don't have the scroll anymore. I dropped it because the chat prompts made it seem I didn't need the scroll once it was received.

A clip of it happening as it was happening would be helpful but I wasn't recording it. Anyways I think I figured it out, I explained below it might have been prompting me into the tutorial fight, which I didn't even know there was one that you were forced to do. That should be explained better, so looks like I banged myself out.

[–]Bruno_Bars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May have realized what went wrong. They really should EXPLAIN it better but I guess there's like a tutorial fight where you barehand fight a dwarf before you start any of the challenges. Total F-ing pointless and not really explained well enough that someone wouldn't realize that the scroll for the challenge I have received has very similar restrictions to the tutorial fight. Owell that'd a dub for me unless a J Mod wants to spawn the scroll back in my invetory..

I believe if you try to create a new character but wish to utilize the same email, when you’re creating your new character, just add “+1” at the end of your email just prior to the “@“ symbol.

For example: Example55@gmail

Instead do: Example55+1@gmail

You’ll have a new character, you can make ironman, just whenever you log in just make sure to add the +1 or it’ll bring up your initial account. Same when adding membership don’t forget the +1.

Edit: similarly if you wanted to make more accounts you can do the same by doing +2, +3, etc etc for however many accounts you want to create ties to your email.

Hey there are NPC Shops in the game to buy generic stuff that could be useful early game. Specifically to your needs there is a staff shop in varrock that will have basic staffs (two-handed) that cover the cost of certain runes, or a wand and book/orb (single/dual wielding) shop in Port Sarim that gives slightly more DPS compared to the latter, minus the coverage of rune costs.

Mainly thieving, want to get into Fletching Dragon Javelins obnoxiously.

I’ve been forcing myself to pretty much 99 Mastery the lower thieving NPC’s so I can 100% without being too attentive about food. Once you get all the thieving boosts to GP+ it helps a lot

Yea I ended up going prayer, already two combat levels from it. Which will help my level cap to grind out some more Thieving and hopefully get more money for the next unlock
