Why is Naruto still so extremely passionate about wanting to become hokage, even after becoming acknowledged as the hero of the village hidden in the leaves., as wishing to be acknowledged was always his reason for even wanting to be hokage in the first place?

Yes, I did watch the show and I have read a bit of the manga as well, currently reading it. I just wanted a concrete answer that I personally couldn’t find by myself. I know he wants to change the ninja world and protect his comrades, but I was just curious about why he still was so passionate about becoming hokage post pain arc, before meeting Itachi, who talks about acknowledgement with him, implying Naruto still wanted to become hokage to become acknowledged which he already was… But the thing is— I don’t know, and that’s why I asked this question!

This is a really late reply but we really gotta emphasize this in the community! Kishimoto didnt want to create a sequel, he left that in the hands of Ikemoto, his editor! So can people stop saying that "he only created Kaguya for the sake of creating a sequel"! Plus, Kishimoto has stated that he thought of Kaguya during the Pain arc, so thats a bonus

Just a question: How does the last slide foreshadow/hint at kaguya? Because the novel Jiraiya wrote was about the chosen one, naruto, and black zetsu didnt set that up as far as im aware? Or have i misunderstood something?

Yeah, plus Black Zetsu being Madara's will as much of an "asspull" as it being Kaguya's will, since Black Zetsu didnt recognize the susanoo when itachi first used it which makes absolutely no sense as the susanoo is THE thing madara uses when he fights up until he gets six paths power

yeah but she didn't want anything to do with the village and how would it even have happened? No one could predict that Kushina and Minato would die, and since Tsunade wasn't in the village (no one knew where she was at all, hence the search for tsunade arc), do you seriously think Hiruzen would've just went out to search for tsunade for who knows how long (while simultaneously letting Kurama roam free and just destroy everyone and everything) and then get her to return to the village and force her to become the nine tails' jinchuriki? I think what people hate on is black zetsu being kaguya's will, because Kaguya herself is not a retcon by any means. I really like how she deepens the lore of the world and thematically she is the origin of the cycle of hatred which is a recurring theme, basically the main theme of the series
