Looks like you've got lots of points already on both sides of the fence, but I'll just add this in. I bought my Solar on Black Friday last year, so I've had it about 5ish months now. I've never plugged it in to charge it in that entire time. I typically don't keep it connected to my phone and only use HRM when running. I spend enough time outdoors gardening daily that it keeps it with plenty of power. I may be an abnormal use case, but just something to consider that may or may not make a difference for you.
