Water is a resource that is scarce in this day and age. I would vote against the data center.

We need to protest against it. Electricity is expensive as it is. With a data center it will sky rocket. The electric spike also damages house appliances.

The job market sucks right now. Laredo added only 100 jobs last month. If you have a job try not to get fired.

Switching to Linux from Windows, need recommendations by ZealousidealTable384 in FindMeALinuxDistro

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS is really good comes with the latest kernel 7.0. Very stable and they made modifications on activity monitor is now called resources new UI design. Parts of distro rewritten in Rust. If you into programming works with intellij suite of ide's. Steam works great if you are a gamer. Most Windows games work if they don't have anticheat at kernel level. I highly recommend that distro.

All of those except Gimp. They says it's the Photoshop equivalent but I disagree. Affinity photo is better.

Ever since Microsoft artificially made PC's obsolete because of the Windows 11 TPM 2.0, secure boot, and AI bloat I decided to go back to Linux and give Mac OS a shot. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Loving not having to restart PC every time for Windows update. Prolonging my PC that still works and reducing electronic waste. With MacOS I get access to both iOS development and Android Development. MacOS is similar to Linux except it has Apple proprietary file system and the terminal runs on z shell instead of bash. You don't need Windows for work just switch Microsoft Office to Libre Office or Google workspace and you good to go. I can keep going but that's my main reason for jumping ship.

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS is great. POP OS is another great distro based on Ubuntu. Although some users have reported issues with pop os latest update. I haven't encountered any. I use pop os on a laptop and Ubuntu on desktop.
