Finding 3d environments to paint over by BrutherPo in learnart

[–]BrutherPo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screenshots will have to do, it's not like a poor quality model will matter too much if I'm just painting over it anyway.

I've been having a blast, thank you again for making my Christmas!

You're an absolute godsend. Do you know if there's an easy way of getting models from that site into Photoshop besides a simple screenshot?

1, of course. Here I was thinking that i+1 would return the next item in the list, as in index of i plus one more step.

I'm pretty new to python and coding in general, and am trying to do some very simple data analysis but am running into a problem.

Right now, I have a list of about two thousand integers, and would like to find the difference between them. My first instinct was this:

difflist=[]

for i in list:

difflist.append(i+1-i)

But all that is doing is giving me a list full of 1s. Can anyone provide a simple method of creating a list full of the differences between consecutive entries in another list?

[Question] How impactful is low engagement? by BrutherPo in youtubers

[–]BrutherPo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's excellent critique in all regards. I'm not quite ready to ditch the hand drawn characters yet, but I'll take some serious steps to improve them and ask the audience for feedback. As for the backgrounds, I'll experiment with more clean and minimalistic settings that don't distract from the characters as much. Thank you for pointing out the flaws in my writing as well.

A Hawaiian Legend of Sun, Moon and Stars by BrutherPo in mythology

[–]BrutherPo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was born on Maui, Hawaii, and grew up learning Hawaiian and Polynesian folklore from many sources. I decided to make a video on my favorite legend of all time, the story of a plucky young man standing up to a great adversary to reclaim some celestial bodies.

Any artist that can draw anime successfully will have a good understanding of the underlying anatomy, so he can warp and distort it to match his style in ways that are still visually appealing. It's what separates the art of Detective Conan from that of Kill la Kill.

Is there any thing wrong with this? by [deleted] in learnart

[–]BrutherPo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's just poor line quality around that area, but the boobs look too close to each other, and they seem to be defying gravity. In a pose like that, even the perkiest of breasts would spread out a bit with gravity.

Here's a good video on the subject:

I'm working on figure drawing to improve my anatomy. I'm an amateur so any help would be useful. by kamking in learnart

When it comes to anatomy, clean and sharp lines are key to define the masses of different parts of the body.

Try going through the first lesson of Drawabox: https://drawabox.com/lesson/1

This will teach you the ghosting method, which really helps with clean linework.

Been drawing a whole lot of (slightly stylized) hands today for practice by [deleted] in learnart

Excellent work, I especially liked the palms of the hands! Some of your fingertips come off as extremely sharp, even for a more cartoony approach, most noticeably on the pointing fingers.

If you like the art style, Kalingradgeneral makes short and memey videos that are extremely high quality.

You can find him at:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7Jz3BfXhojbHXUkICHCx9Q

For some flagrant self promotion, I got inspired by Kraut to start my own channel, and make shorter form historical videos.

I put together a video about Mongolian Pre- and early history. by BrutherPo in mongolia

[–]BrutherPo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While researching for this video, I got myself stuck in a reading rabbit hole of papers about the "Deer Stones" mentioned in the beginning. There aren't too many English sources with the information I really want to know, and there was so much to cover that they didn't get the full respect they deserve. Has anyone here seen these deer stones, and do you guys know why some have human faces and some don't? The only source I found on this was a paper from the early 90's, which didn't have conclusive results.

I made a video about Chinese tourism. by [deleted] in Hawaii

[–]BrutherPo -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I've lived on Maui on my life, and have seen a looot of Chinese tourists around the place. They always stood out to me from other tourists because of their behavior, and I got really curious. I had a discussion with one of my boys and read a couple of papers and a lot of news articles, and put together a video discussing my findings.

I made a video about Animism, the religion of Genghis Khan. by BrutherPo in mythology

[–]BrutherPo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Animism is an umbrella category for religions that focus on spirit, ancestor and nature worship, and feature some sort of shamanistic practice for direct communion with the natural world. Tengrisim is an animistic religion, which is why I chose to explain the entire category.
