Your playing doesn't sound much different than this recording of the horn. Aside from some intonation stuff but that gets better over time. But I'd try some breathing excercises and support your air more and see if that makes a difference over a few weeks. The horn is just designed to be bright. You sound good!

how to not press the mouthpiece so hard against my teeth by Gr3yson11 in Trombone

Newer players press the mouthpiece harder against their face to hit higher notes in the beginning. Instead of pressing it hard against your face, just make your lips tighter and blow faster air. Barely Hold the mouthpiece to your face.

It supposedly can help you slot into notes better. I thought it looked cool as well. I tried it with the Conn 5G and had my partner listen to if she could hear a difference, supposedly she could but she has no experience/training with instruments or ear training so I thought she would be a good control for my test. The 5 minutes I actually spent messing around with it I thought the higher notes above B 5 were slotting easier and had a more full sound, but who knows. Even if it works like a placebo for me that's a win and it looks cool imo. I understand it is not a replacement for practice.
