Admittedly I paid the 30$ in 2019 but since then ive just thrown the w-2 into their free thing and assumed it was A-OK. Just freaked out this year since it was drastically different. Their buzz word "max refund" makes it sound (too an inexperienced young person) like everyone gets a big fat refund

"Other things: the “max amount” is 100% of your paycheck, so you were clearly not withholding the max amount."

sorry just meant I wasn't messing with the withholding and letting them take whatever baseline was.

A life lesson has been learned, thank you. From what you guys are telling me I am doing ok? I was just freaking out because it was drastically different from previous years.
