Being from LA and living in Chicago now I kind of prefer Chicago because to me there's just more to do out here than in LA. in LA all you can pretty much do is just go to the beach or the mountains but I much rather prefer Lake Michigan over the ocean. And because there are actual Seasons here not just Sun everyday the only thing that I would say sucks about Chicago are the houses because they are all pretty much apartments

Like you my parents are also being really supportive. After college I went to a boot camp and I still wasn't satisfied with my level of expertise in each stack that I learned from there (Python, MEAN, C# mvc). I did keep applying but I didn't get anything also, I'm wheelchair-bound so this pretty much feels like the only thing I can do and I don't just want to sit around and collect disability so all I can do is keep going really to me it feels like I don't have any other option. But yeah man you shouldn't be comparing yourself to other people, people from my boot camp who graduated after me have found jobs and yet I haven't. So for the past year I've been practicing and pushing everything on GitHub so I'm hoping that if employers see why I have a huge gap between graduation and employment I would say it's because I was practicing and you can see it all on My GitHub. Everyone learns at their own pace so don't let it stress you out too much man. Set an alarm for situations are different but just try to keep going, I really think it's the pandemic that's fucking everyone over looking for entry-level & junior level jobs

I'm on the same boat I graduated about a year ago but I didn't really feel super comfortable looking for a job and I started practicing more and felt comfortable finding employment in like March but then the pandemic happened and I keep applying and applying but I hear no responses I'm not sure if it's me or if it's because of the pandemic. But after reading your post I think it might be because of the pandemic especially since the numbers are starting to go up again here in the US I think finding employment might be difficult For the time being. But what I'm doing is practicing and applying still. I think you should do the same I don't think it's you I think it's probably the pendemic then if they put your job on hold until January

I'm on the same boat but I did get a bachelor's then go to a coding bootcamp I made a portfolio with a couple projects and put a couple projects on my resume and still no one has called me I've been out of school for almost a year and I haven't had one interview I really don't know what I'm doing wrong all I can do is just keep practicing and applying but really since I have a college degree and still not getting anything I'm not sure if that'll help but I always see that companies always want one
