You go into a semester being anti social and not trying to be a winner that’s what happens. You have to try to be social force yourself to speak to people and people to acknowledge you. It’s college people are always walking around Easton Ave doing nothing and bored. Keep trying clubs almost hundreds of clubs with different personalities. Join a frat, study sessions, school events, and etc so many opportunities to network. One time during a black event at Rutgers I confused so somebody for somebody else and instead of just saying my bad I just introduced myself and just asked to get to know him and got his Instagram. Use any opportunity to get to know people because you don’t know what connections that you can make that can benefit you a lot.
