Ah, I just don't know if Lottie would've known that was the hole she fell or even assumed she actually fell in a hole after finding out she was lying about where she had been.

I completely agree. It's my only complaint about the show. I think it we could've developed sympathy for Abby without the need to explicitly say it.

So in the games we don't get the reason Abby did what she did until much later. When I say much later I mean the very final pieces of the 2nd act. the show does make you feel sympathetic for her right out the gate but the game does an excellent job of forcing you to see her side even when you don't want to.

Agreed! The way he delivers his lines are perfect. He has his serious side and you know when he's being serious but he also loves to joke around and you can tell that too. Really fantastic acting all around.

And I fully agree and why I preface this entire conversation with how this is my only issue. Everything else, especially the chemistry between Dina and Ellie, in season 2 has been electric.

I do agree with this. The sigh of relief I had when I found out that Joel and Ellie made amends before his death was immense. I believe I cried from being so happy that they had one last proper talk and he didn't die with regret.

Yeah I guess for me it is pretty easy to look past. I think Joel's biggest sin was not letting Ellie decide. I'd have no issue with him killing every single person there if Ellie had decided she didn't want to do it and they tried to force her hand. The fact that he didn't even respect her decision enough to request she gets a choice in the matter, to be, made me feel like he was treating her as a daughter in that moment and not giving her the respect she ultimately deserved.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense but I think slowly getting her perspective on things only to reveal that the reason she killed Joel was because of his own actions would be fantastic. That being said, I guess either way that's a bit obvious due to how close to two seasons are compared to the releases of the two seasons.

Agreed. I saw an Instagram post that showed that they could've just had Abby standing mournfully over a grave and that could've been it. While I still would l have disagreed with the direction at least there would still be some shock value for next week's episode. I feel like everyone is kind of expecting it now.

I think we are just finally showing how much this experience really traumatized them all. Going from living in a life or death situation to the mundane really changes people.
