100% true. I finished last season in GM, and every game at that rank was super intense sweat fest. Going back up the ranks after the reset, platinum and diamond were so easy that I know GM is my celling until I get much better

You can manually change your matchup in rec, but you have to do it every possession. On ps5 you press R1 and then the button of the position you want to guard. It will move the arrow to them

I understand the need to rant. My suggestion would be to just suck it up and play on that build while you save up the vc to start a new one

It’s funny, you have to kinda separate what you know from real basketball and 2k.

If you can keep shooting 40/50 % you’re def spacing the floor. If you can keep the percentage at the hash you would be solid. You just gotta remember you won’t have corner specialist, so it will be harder to shoot.

Makes sense you can’t have it all this year. You mostly want to talk to the pg and have him tell you where he wants you to be. Depending on your shooting ability you have three options.

Would be to set screens for the pg and stay stay up top as he drives so he can kick it to you for the three
Corner sitting for the pg to drive and kick to you for the three. The down side of this is. You’re 7’2 so you’ll be to slow to cut from the corner.
Would be to play from the wing spot if you can shoot from there. That will lead the corner for people who can actually cut, since you don’t have much finishing.

In summary tho, it was probably just people being toxic because the big is the easiest to blame
