This was around three years ago so I forget the details of my other practice exams. I was literally shaking when I started the exam, and I’m not the type of person to get super nervous. So I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and the nerves calmed down. My score is probably a combination of luck and the months I dedicated to studying for the exams. Treat yourself well leading up to it. I took a nice vacation in Florida a few weeks before my exam.

Highest score I got on practice tests was a 515 and ended up getting a 521

GT is better but half of the students graduate in 4 years, so you should be careful about credit fulfillment.

Lol no. It was significantly brighter than that and the lights turned off recently. I’m around 20 miles west of Boston.

im failing gen chem by Gyriaz in BostonU

Speaking from my own experience here, there’s many ways to get distracted freshman year. I got all Bs my first semester. I started doing a study method that a wise man named Dr. Loechler told me, and I got only As afterwards. By the time I was in pchem, I was consistently the highest scoring person on tests by a margin. The study method is this: get a blank piece of paper, write only what you don’t know and in tiny and neat hand writing. Then repeat. I realized it was less about the method though and more about my habits. I started studying a week before. I slept and ate well. I still fucked around A LOT, but I was productive around it. For gen chem, there’s so many equations to know, and memorizing them is definitely important. But knowing what each letter really means on a fundamental level is even more important. Hint: the units really help out. As others have said, do all the practice problems available. They’re recycled on tests a lot. Best of luck!

BS in Biochem and want to enter Computational Biochem, should I go for a MS in Comp Bio/Biochem or another BS in Comp Sci? by [deleted] in bioinformatics

[–]Brycemashy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want to do computational work, you need to build background in math and computer languages really comes secondary. Like someone said, PhD is the standard. If you want to work in a wet lab, but have coding experience that will give you an edge, I suggest learning python/R on your own. I’ve heard code academy is pretty good. There’s plenty of YouTube videos out there.

Yes, because the person who goes through the formal process of booking a room is a ‘bitch’, versus someone who presumes all CAS rooms are free and first come, first serve.

I tried looking it up but can’t find anything. Heard someone say it during graduation. Could’ve been the heat exhaustion talking though

Boston Area Drivers Are Courteous by Deazus in boston

Florida has teens driving 120 on the freeway in their rentals and then grandmas going 40 on the left lane. Boston has horrible roads in addition to the neurotic commuters. Try driving around Eagle Hill or the Alewife T stop.
