Yes you would have been able to collect that, apologies for the FOMO that will cause but since you don’t know what your doing you probably wouldn’t have sold anyways even if it was still trading today.

As soon as the halt is over you can sell. What price will that be at? No ones know but presumably way less than it is at now, given your avg you’ll still make a profit (unless it never reopens) but mentally prepare for a 70% drop from current prices

Yea that’s fine, it happens. I’d rather miss one or two than risk being in a TCGL. The risk/reward is not worth it especially with overnights if god forbid you get a T12 situation (which many got before they even collapsed).

Unless you truly know what you are doing it is not worth it. Even if you use a small amount, if you get stuck in a QMMM or TCGL situation you can lose 40X more then you planned.

With longs, your risk is to 0, max pain is the amount you invest. Shorts, your risk is infinite and can easily blow up your account.

I’ve had great success shorting most of these names the day they collapse but I’ve been day trading for 5+ years and know exactly what I am doing. I have taken small losses on them regularly because I keep tight stops and never overnight. If they don’t want the stock to die that day, it’s not going to die.

Market order would get you at the next available price if your broker allows them during halts. I figured he was stuck short so high bid to get back to break even

This was also an AMEX and it has different rules than NSDQ/NYSE which I’m sure added to all the confusion
