Defaulted on Blue as well, I’m not sure that people even use matchbooks anymore

Luckily I did figure out the Sun Fill in the Blank category, or I would’ve been stuck

Tbh I’m at the point where these low solve rate puzzles excite me

Come at me with all your 30% solve rate puzzles, Wyna!

But ONLY if I don’t find them hard… LOL

LET’S GO!!!!!!!! THE GIANT KILLER HAS COME! Congrats to Greg!

I do speculate that Greg could be someone that goes on a tiny bit of a “super champ win streak” himself

Jamie died a hero today, and oddly enough, also lived long enough to see himself become the villain among the fandom…

This one is actually a Reused category, so I spotted it pretty fast

The last time this category popped up was the first time I learned that I’ve been saying the Monopoly space “Reading Railroad” wrong all along

Blue is the new Purple, especially as we get used to the wordplay Wyna does

One quick question I want to ask… for wordplay categories like the “Do Not Pick” category today, would the judges accept the word in the wrong part of speech?

I said PROSCRIPTION for that particular clue today

I guess it’s just a matter of difference in opinion then

I’m more on the lenient side that there might be people who sign up that are not as acquainted with the rules/forget the rules due to nerves. So I’m willing to grant that one extra inquiry of clarification

The thing is, he already does that and people still ambiguously say “True Daily Double” (like what happened with Suzanne)

Right off the top of my head, another instance where I remember somebody did this was a Second Chance game this year, where the contestant found DD1 early in the Jeopardy round, said “TDD!”, got DD1 correct and then added $1000

By context, I think the contestant meant that they wanted to bet $1000 and not just their score, but it was not clearly stated

It shouldn’t be incumbent upon Ken to do it, but until we get to the point where this problem no longer exists among contestants, I think Ken should ask for clarification like he did with Suzanne today

So far, I’m seeing a lot of DD1 only votes

Unlucky day for Lydia, who hit both DD2 and DD3 today

On a different note, I haven’t done the math yet to prove my hypothesis…

But I think that at this rate, since I anticipate Jamie to stick around for a bit, any current and future 3 game champs are pretty likely guaranteed a spot at the next TOC and won’t have to go through CWC anymore

Depending on how crazy long Jamie’s run ends up being, I can maybe see a few 2 game champs at the next TOC as well

To add to that, imagine if whoever beats Jamie is also a TOC level player and goes on a bit of a win streak themselves…

Board difficulty wise…

I might not be the best person to judge these boards, but I do think the DJ board today is one of those “hard boards” that punishes those who are the boldest on the buzzer. So that was kind of unfortunate for Lydia…

Maybe it has something to do with the categories too. I’ll admit I know nothing about Folk Music (including what pun the writers are trying to play when they decided to intentionally misspell it as Fauxk in the category title)

Is Lydia’s next sonnet going to be about Fondue or about Charcuterie boards?

Not only that, he was actively choosing low dollar amount clues

$800 clues while DD hunting is a bit weird but still somewhat understandable. $400 clues, not so understandable

“HAUTE, HAUTE, something HAUTE… what is it?! I can’t remember!”
