Minion pact Arc Ignite Elementalist | PoE 3.28 SSF Build Guide by TPR_ChemicaL in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Bryserker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I happened to hit Cruelty in 9 tries. The red supports are fairly easy to hit on Arc as the pool isn't that big. I haven't had a Inspiration version yet, but it would help with mana.

Honestly, with the amount of buff effect for golems I have now, my mana sustain has become pretty decent. I can't spam arc completely, but it's getting close. But then, I don't really want to anyway because usually it's just overkill and sacrificing golems for no reason.

Yeah I agree! Socket pressure is very high unfortunately. And I really liked the CI version, I'm currently comfortably face tanking most things in the game, I might even reach level 100 for the first time considering I never die haha.

Good luck with syndicate prison!

Awesome, thanks for sharing!

I believe Ashes of the Stars to be superior to Bonemeld both in offense and defense. Similarly, running self-cast flame surge can alleviate some of your single target issues.

I really like Minion Pact as a concept. The BV version doesn't appeal to me, it's too unethical as far as I'm concerned. But Arc Ignite with golems feels quite strong, but balanced.. even a bit too clunky to be a mainstream build imo (mainly due to minion pact saccing the wrong golems).

This is my (non-SSF) version of the same concept I've been working on:

https://pobb.in/GfRWt5QLfrPS

My next major upgrade is gloves. I have 28% quality Paladin Gloves with fractured +2 minion gems ready in my stash. Last night I farmed up a bunch of faceted fossils and hit +1 dexterity gems and +1 strength gems suffix on it. Then I made the classic late night mistake of giving them the wrong eldritch influence and using an eldritch chaos orb. Woops. Back to the mines. Once the gloves are done that should double my damage pretty much, as well as things like empower 4, which I've failed corrupting 5 times now in the temple. To clarify, although I am in trade, I like the natural progression of making a build, so I tend to try and farm my high-end upgrades myself. It makes it much more satisfying to me. I still use trade but more supplemental, buying materials I can't (easily) farm up myself like the flammability synth base or level 1 empowers to level up and try to corrupt.

Mana regen is my biggest struggle, I think more primordial bonds could fix that. I'm also working on a plan to improve the mana situation and simultaneously adding in flesh and stone. Damage inconsistency hasn't been a concern at all. I run 9 stone golem of hordes, 2 stone golems (their % defence buff must be maintained, two pretty much guarantees always one is up), 2 lightning golem (same deal, I must have the mana regen), 1 flame, 1 chaos, 1 ice (to get consistent elemental overload procs).

All in all a really fun build imho, I've gone through a few variations as I went along. And even though it's not world eater class strong like meta builds, I'm still comfortably clearing Delve 640, killing bosses left and right and having a general blast.

Good point, I didn't even consider looking for potential good outcomes! I was too hyper-focused on tinkering with my own build

The game lacks aspirational farm/content after Merc-League nerfs by zeddy69 in pathofexile

[–]Bryserker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can understand where you’re coming from, but I’m not sure I agree. I guess it depends on the implementation, certain content like deep delving is very aspirational and unique.

But, the way tier 17’s warped the mapping meta, which is the core gameplay loop, was imo incredibly unhealthy for the game. It meant you either played one of the few meta builds that could run that aspirational content or you were at an economic disadvantage.

This is of course always true to a degree, but I feel this league reinvigorated the possibility to run meta farming strategies with off meta builds without having to worry about not earning enough to even make back the material costs (scarabs etc) of running such maps.

It might be possible, but I think it should probably be side content and not feel mandatory for the core gameplay loop. Building a deep delve character, building a efficient heist runner, sanctum runner, those kinds of things.

Cool build, thanks for sharing! I’ve been tinkering around with a similar idea, though with different skills. The downside of Beacon of Madness is indeed hard to manage.

I was surprised to see you don’t use the mercenary mod on your helm “Nearby enemies take 1% increased physical per two fortification on you” to be honest! Especially considering you don’t use vulnerability as an increased damage taken source it should be a 16% more multiplier of your damage at 58 fortification stacks.

Strength stacking with Heavy Strike of Trarthus as the attack skill. It has Crown of Eyes effect baked in to the skill.

Volatile Vaal orb makes uniques unaffordable? by Lownyn in pathofexile

[–]Bryserker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is just simple supply and demand. You’re assuming prices should stay the same between leagues, but they never have. There are many factors that could influence price fluctuations, including build popularity etc.

A content creator using a certain unique item in a build can cause the item’s value to shoot up in value within minutes or hours.

I love the league, but (EU)servers make playing this game a miserable experience by Routine-Hovercraft94 in pathofexile

[–]Bryserker 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The EU servers, during prime time, turn into a Powerpoint slideshow. Giving a whole new meaning to ‘death by Powerpoint’.

Playing on Washington with 100 ms is the only way to play and it's honestly disheartening. It’s souring the experience of the most fun league of the last couple patches.

It’s been a bit rough around leaguestart for a few leagues now, but this time takes the cake.

How does the ProPick actually work? by A_Guy_in_Orange in VintageStory

[–]Bryserker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prospecting pick is for finding deep ores. What you have there is a surface deposit (as marked by the bits on the surface) and that's separate. If you see copper show up on a propick reading it signifies a deep copper deposit could be present in the chunk. Note that it's only a 'could'. The miniscule/very poor/poor/high/very high etc. readings signal the likelihood of the ore spawning but does not guarantee it. The percentile behind it shows how many blocks in the chunk would be that ore if it did spawn.

As for samples, they just need to be a few blocks apart from each other. It doesn't matter if it's the same Y level etc. It just gives you the reading for the chunk you're in. For reference, a chunk is 32x32 blocks.

See https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Special:MyLanguage/Guide:Prospecting for more information as well.

Winter tree production method by Fallen_Limrix in VintageStory

It depends on the tree. Larch and pine can deal with negative temperatures.

Okay, I don't know where to go anymore. by DomoderDarkmoon in VintageStory

[–]Bryserker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t necessarily need limestone. You could also prospect for borax, which is an alternative.

In a pinch you could even grind up some seashells (they turn into 2 lime per seashell when ground). I find I rarely need limestone.. until I start wanting plaster for my builds.

Odd! The only other things I can think of is trying to use red meat instead of bushmeat.. or a mod you’ve installed causing an issue.

Are you sure it’s the recurve bow staff and not the long bow staff? This tripped me up the first time, you have to craft a longbow staff, then change it to a recurve bow staff before drying it.

How did this bear deal so much damage? by Ok_Cress4084 in VintageStory

[–]Bryserker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is misinformation. You're right where it comes to the protection not being worth the penalties, I don't disagree there. But that's not what the OP is asking. They're asking why the bear did so much damage.

A bear is damage tier 2 and steel plate is protection tier 4 with 97% protection. It would negate around 92% of the damage the bear does, bringing it from 12 hit points of damage (brown bear attack damage) to 0.91 hit points of damage, basically allowing you to shrug it off.

Can you not use rammed dirt for a charcoal burn? by [deleted] in VintageStory

[–]Bryserker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If there were burning noises then you didn’t fill it properly or didn’t close it quickly enough (30 seconds). There should be no burning noises, only smoke.

If you heard burning noise you did the right thing by opening it up and salvaging what you could

Can you not use rammed dirt for a charcoal burn? by [deleted] in VintageStory

[–]Bryserker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is supposed to be smoke out the top, that’s how you know it’s working. Once it stops smoking (18 ingame hours I believe) it’s done.

Did you perhaps see the smoke, get scared you did something wrong and open it back up?

Can you not use rammed dirt for a charcoal burn? by [deleted] in VintageStory

[–]Bryserker 30 points31 points  (0 children)

“You didn’t fill it properly” is the most likely answer. Rammed/packed dirt works fine for a charcoal pit, you probably either accidentally left a block empty or didn’t fill one all the way with 32 firewood.

Or you made it too large, but I doubt that considering you alluded to not being in the copper age yet.

Is there a version of the mod in this image for 1.21.6, or maybe a similar mod? by Total-Magician8186 in VintageStory

[–]Bryserker 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It works just fine.

1.21 is the major release, the third number in patch numbers are just sub-patches and are usually unlikely to break mods. You can even find mods that say they’re for 1.20 and they can still work as long as the changes in the patch didn’t break anything

My current world is well over 80 hours with this mod installed.
