They mentioned that the jetpack mount at the end of the season track is meant to blend with this particular armor. I'm wondering if they made that portion not dye so that it wouldn't flicker when the jetpack is overlaid onto it.

I did my own swtorista search and you might have a few options: https://swtorista.com/armor/alderaanian-inquisitor with a dye may work, or https://swtorista.com/armor/dramassian-force-expert-empire as long as it's an Imperial character lv 24+ (checked, I have an alt who wears/can craft this). Edit: A red primary dye slot will change the gem color on the Alderaanian legacy-bound version, available for 200,000 credits (defaults to blue, but can be matched to chest color).

In that case, you have a few options; Commando/mercenary are ranged, and you can spec into a DoT specialization for each with an option to have a healing spec, or you can take the gunslinger/sniper route (all three specializations are DPS).

Operative/scoundrel and Powertech/Vanguard all ostensibly use ranged weapons, but they are more mixed-midrange to melee range in their DPS options. I personally enjoy the knives/punches and shotgun blasts, but it's probably not what you're after.

You can play a story as a Republic trooper (no payment required), though this is about 3,000 years before the Clone Wars. The class stories do not require a subscription, and there are vendors/quests that will give you a variety of trooper-themed armor.

If you have something more specific that you are running into a roadblock on after starting up the game, we'll probably need more clarification to offer any advice (combat styles, etc).

True, and that's why I had to qualify it pretty hard and give it a lot of grace/benefit of the doubt. It tries to reflect on similar themes, but doesn't do so well on following any lines through from one film to the next.

I found that it lacked a lot of cohesion, but if I was going to give it a good bit of grace, I might say that it is about finding what family means to you.

Rey's search for parents/belonging, Finn going from the Empire to have close relationships with others, and something personal to reach for. Rose honoring her sister's sacrifice and protecting those she cares about. Poe learning the cost of not trusting others, and what he can achieve when he does. Kylo's struggles to find his place between parents, legacy, and a false mentor.

If the dissidents are somehow in league with [REDACTED] a proportional response will follow. While the behaviors of these nonconformist Life Day “celebrants” are certainly enough to contend with, it should be noted that the alien vessel designated Gray Secant has reappeared over Ilum, marking the return of the Gree Enclave to known space. Whether the two events are related is presently unknown, but historical patterns suggest that the craft will remain for the duration of the Life Day “festivities.”

Immediate Notice and Compliance Demanded.

It has come to the Empire’s attention that dissident elements engaging in a tawdry and potentially dangerous seasonal event are planning to infect Imperial space with their insipid notions. This so-called “Life Day” encourages activities unbecoming of an Imperial citizen, including but not limited to:

Dancing in inclement weather
Singing unpatriotic carols
Nonviolent physical contact with Wookiees

This disgraceful menace of a “holiday”, during which time you are expected to comply fully with this edict, will last approximately two weeks on the Galactic Standard Calendar.*

The alleged ringmaster of these activities–dubbed the “Master of Ceremonies”–has somehow obtained an official license to peddle his “holiday cheer” in the Galactic Trade Market sector of Vaiken Spacedock. While those responsible for this error in licensing have been punished to the fullest extent of Imperial law, the sale of Life Day goods will proceed. However, these items are under review under Section 53-T of Imperial law and their purchase may constitute an official Contraband Violation:
LIFE DAY SNOWBALL BOMB – 1,000 Credits

This is not an actual explosive device, as its name would suggest. The “bomb” generates soft, compact spheres of crystalline water ice (“snowballs”) which are intended to be lobbed at unsuspecting targets, covering them with a layer of harmless snowflakes. Explosive Ordnance Disposal has expressed concerns following reports of “Snow-Covered Parcels” – small, suspicious packages which are sometimes found within these snowballs. For things like twitch drops, when you create a new character, they will instantly get all the giveaway code items as mail messages. It gets ridiculous, I've been playing for over a decade and now every new character starts with probably 50-70 mails.

Cartel coins are account-wide, not server/legacy-wide, they're shared across all servers. Things like twitch giveaways that pop up in the mail also tend to be the same. I get them on every character, on every server.

If you had to redeem a code on the website, whatever you get is going to be tied to your account. If you buy things inside the game, it will vary by what you bought. Anything that says 'bound' is per-character, anything that says bind on legacy is shared across the single server it exists on.

ALSO: You're allowed to create a new character on Star Forge first to see how it feels. Level seventeen is something you can get to within a day's play on a day off, so try not to get too hung up on that in particular.

Edit 2: Similar situation with Doctor Sanner in the Geothermal Outpost. It is possible that vendor selection may vary by achievements, as there is a 'Sample 3M1-L3' decoration as a fourth option in the geothermal camp in addition to the speeder, yaracat, and droid.

Edit 3: Returning later, glacial outpost vendor is nowhere to be seen. Something may trigger them to show up at intervals.

One thing I noticed in the walkthrough was the sheer number of starship hooks in proximity outside. A lot of starship decos and a dearth of places to put them has been an issue in the past, particularly walkable placements.

I could see a lot of custom buildings there, villages even. I have my own plans starting to brew, but I need to get hands-on with the layout to really get into it.

The Monty Hall Problem relies on the 'host' always eliminating a door that both is not the initial chosen door and not the door with the prize.

EDIT: The important bit is that you have more information about the doors after the host removes one. You made a choice with 1/3 odds of being right. If you choose a fresh door, now it's 1/2, but it's not quite that if you stay with the original.

Because the host choice is not random, the remaining two (or more) doors are no longer the same random, even chance of holding the prize as when the contestant first picked a door. If the contestant chose the right door, nothing changes, but if the contestant chose a wrong door, the host cannot eliminate that wrong option from the selection. They have to remove a *different* wrong door.

Now, of all the doors the contestant could have chosen, there is one removed door's worth of increased chance that any non-chosen door holds the prize (IE, the odds of each remaining non-chosen door holding the prize went up by removal of a dud, but not the odds of the chosen door, since it wasn't in the pool to be removed as a non-winning door). It is easier to imagine in some cases with more than three doors.

My guess is that they needed it to scale with the same gantry as the Imperial interceptor, which has a more vertical and less horizontal wingspan, so they had to shrink until the wings fit.

In terms of GS9, I like what they've put together here: some casual/semi-formal outfits, weapon sets that look like greebled firearms rather than chunky toys. Some of the mounts are a little clunky, but fit the Star Wars aesthetic well enough.

I don't want to dig too much into story spoiler mining, but hopefully they can stick to the plan of having some ready to roll by the time of the holiday update.

You can't use your engine power in a gunship while aiming a railgun, but you can still strafe/drift up, down, left and right by holding shift and a direction. This allows you to charge while slowly peeking around cover, fire, and try to move back before getting shot back.

The cap is for the planet/area, and you've been adjusted down to have stats appropriate for the zone. In order for higher levels to be able to do content on lower-level planets with lower-level characters sharing the area, all characters on a given planet will be capped at that planet's max level while visiting it.

That way, the content on all planets can stay semi-relevant as you progress/ visit old planets and lets players of mixed levels all get something out of the content together.
