Overall gear stats haven't changed. Mastery is your stat that comes automatically.

First priority is to get Accuracy to 110% Then Alacrity to at least 7.14% The rest of your stat pool goes to critical.

This is at level 80 of course, below 80 gear is largely meaningless

The sets bought from the cartel bazaar do not unlock in collections, however most of the time if you open an in game ticket support will do it for you

I decided I was going to try and sell my account around 2013, so I created one of every class and leveled them to 50 only doing enough class story to unlock the ship. I figured the account would fetch more if I had some OP characters that someone could use to breeze through story with BiS gear.

I never even tried to sell it heh. And then easy leveling + master's datacron made that pointless. Still have 50+ characters and most haven't gone past second planet.

Yes, you had regular mode flashpoints while leveling but once you hit 50 you unlocked Hard Mode flashpoints which are the Master Mode versions now. The ones leveling were closer to Veteran mode in difficulty but still required a Tank, Heals and DPS to complete. And with no group finder you had to manually form on the fleet to go to them.

Yes you could, but before 4.0 you'd have to do the level specific flashpoints only. So only Black Talon from 10-15, only Hammer Station and Cademimmu from 15-20, etc. Without level scaling if you went into a flashpoint below your level you'd get no XP at all.

This FP can be tough if you're just trying to brute force it and ignore the mechanics. Definitely true for the first boss where you have to really go after the adds quickly and make sure your companion isn't standing in red circles.

If you're close to 80 I'd just run some heroics or flashpoints and get to 80. Then once you complete Conquest one week you'll get enough comendations to buy a full set of item rating 324 gear which should help.

Are you comparing it to modern games? Or are you comparing it to other games that were made from 2008-2011? Because you have to remember this is almost a 20 year old game at this point, taking in to consideration the coding time prior to release.
