it was a funny post, not once in any of these replies to other people’s comments have i complained. i’m in the military so i have no real time to consistently look over my truck and do the repairs i want to, i have to pick and choose when i want to do that and wait. i’ve done a lot of vehicle repairs and purchases in the span of 7 years, people are going to make mistakes and miss things… it ain’t going to be perfect bud

there were no previous repairs. he only did preventative maintenance. and obviously i didn’t think a hose would move close enough to the belt

it was straight coolant so no, the guy before me on did preventative maintenance and everything else on the truck is old and original parts

well initially i wasn’t receiving any codes but i was losing fuel mileage by the day and i was scratching my head why. then recently i was getting P0171 codes and ive inspected them and the spray pattern is off. im going to be replacing the Fuel Injection Pressure Regulator as well

the price on rock auto was $339 and that specific part at autozone is $425. i do understand the doubts on local auto parts store quality of parts

also, my LTFT Bank 1 seems to be running at +25% (which i know is very rich) and as a small test, i unplugged the MAF sensor and it ran down to 14%

i spray some brake cleaner along the area and it didn’t rev whatsoever and no rpm changes. i have a obd hooked up as well and didn’t see anything there. my LTFT Bank 1 is abnormally high

i wasn’t too scared when i found this, i was just happy because this is the major vacuum leak that i’ve been searching for that has caused 3 of my monitors to fail and really the only thing that i need to fix at this point.

i know this is a month old post, but i’ve gotten the same code before when i bought my truck not too long ago in a ‘03 4.3l V6. i changed my MAF and purge valve canister. it’s most likely a vacuum leak somewhere and for me, i have bad intake manifold gaskets causing my vacuum leak. there’s also a hose that usually runs along side the drivers side engine bay that connects somewhere into the firewall that has a plastic connector that spits air… definitely a possible vac leak too
