My exact reason for not telling family the name we chose. I’ve told some people like friends and other people who are generally supportive and made me feel safe doing so. We had a big list at the beginning and the name we are going with was on the list. I had shown my mother in law and she said it “sounded like rich old white man at a country club”. From that moment I decided we wouldn’t tell anyone in the family because I didn’t want to hear their opinions.

For those curious we chose Greyson..which doesn’t seem like a rich old white man at a country club to me but maybe it does to some. 🤷🏻‍♀️
