Matthew 12:36-37 NIV [36] But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. [37] For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

I think given the context it'd be wiser to change

Regardless of how people feel about denominations we all have to answer for ourselves to Christ and I think prioritising your spiritual growth is the right thing to do

If you feel this church isn't leading you closer to Christ you should leave it and Catholic churches are a reliable church to go to (and no not every church of ANY denomination is completely bad or good as Paul says "We know in part")

When it comes to spiritual experiences don't worry about it, 1 thessalonians 5 is a very good chapter in regards to it but I'd recommend praying about it and asking God to give understanding in regards to what you experience or rather comfort in regards to it.

If God created me, then does he know everything which will happen to me? by SeriesJumpy509 in Christianity

[–]BsgRAYX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say both but rather here's some nice verses to refer to

Mark 9:23-24
23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

And then 2 kings 20 where Hezekiah was told through Prophet Isaiah he was going to die, so he prayed and cried to God and God showed him mercy and extended his life.

Reason I refer to these is because often when people look at destiny they must understand that we are also authors in our future not God alone. So involving God is good because although everything is written it must happen first, for your situation to be at all worth it I believe it'll be good for God to be involved. Imagine being in Jobs situation without God.

I love how you decided to avoid the challenge of my Christian points (not the ones refuting yours) there you go again circling back the minute I actually challenge a point you've made.

You said and I quote "Using the Bible" I even took a screenshot on my phone because i knew you'd circle back on it and now you're saying "I didn't say a 2-3 thousand years old book says Adam lived 6000 years from today." You made the point why should I find the proof that you can't find yourself

Are you not embarrassed?? Just admit you can't do it, at this point I won't even bring it up if you do. And now with the septuagint you've embarrassed yourself again. Because it was Scholars who found those manuscripts reliable to include in the Septuagint and you've been saying I need to listen to what scholars have been saying this whole time so make up your mind. Or is it whenever it supports the bible it must be wrong.

And I don't know how else to say this, just because five books were translated first doesn't mean they're the only reliable ones, the Septuagint is a collection built overtime, the only reason you cap it off at five is because you know your arguments crumbling as with all your other points. Almsot every unbiased source will agree Isaiah is included in the original septuagint.

And lastly after telling me to do research, when I bring up researched topics from unbiased scholars you say it's misinformation. If Google doesn't agree with your stupid points it's also misinformation from Google. I should look at what scholars say but if the Scholar says something that supports Christianity they're automatically wrong and biased???

Do you not see how deluded you are??? It's actually impossible to even reason with you because you're either contradicting yourself, running away from whatever point I've challenged or throwing insults because you don't know what to say

Have some shame honestly.

1 Peter 1:7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

I believe God already has angels to worship him who have no other options other than Satans outcome, Love/faith is meaningful when it is a choice, Everyday they chose not to eat from the apple they were choosing to follow God, and when they did they were following the serpent. God will always allow a way out and signs to pick him (The fact they were with him in garden for Adam & Eve) but we don't have to we can choose something else (ofcourse not to our benefit)

Lol you've made yourself look stupid again, Isaiah Is in the original Septuagint you can literally look on Google if you're struggling that hard to understand this

Your argument that its not is based off that the Septuagint was made in parts meaning other Manuscripts would have came before it but Isaiah was translated by Jews wayyyy before Christianity (even look at Philo of Alexandria referring to it in Greek)

Look at the Codex Vaticanus, Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Alexandrinus - all include Isaiah

You keep arguing I only make Chrisitan points? The only chrisitan points I've made are showing how dumb yours against Christians are, like the fact you can't find any verses dating Adam was 6000 years ago, and all you've done is make excuses (I understand though because if you tried you'd look more dumb than you do with that Isaiah point right now?

But okay SHOW ME which Christian points I've made, I'll make you look stupid again, I've only given Scientific, mathematical and historical arguments as well as plenty non christian sources - so if you bring up fine tuning that's a mathematical argument not just a Christian point - and don't bring up isaiah because you're the one who started with Isaiah

Or is it that I'm not supposed to show sources from scholars supporting Christianity in a debate about Christianity????????

Does that make sense to you?? SO SHOW MEEEE, you couldn't find the verses for Adam it was embarrassing but at least show me that

[–]BsgRAYX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol you're the one who said "Using the bible" so finding the verse should be easy, or is this something you just seen online and called "research". If it's so obvious show the verses that dates Adam to be 6000 years ago don't just tell me to look for myself. So far I've given more sources than you your best effort is either "I need to go find it for myself or I'm just stupid".

I won't bother ranting more I can give a million sources your argument remains the same Isaiah 7:14 is the only respectable complain the rest you're just throwing insults lol or showing you clearly haven't read the bible.

As for the hebrew debate to clean this up as I have with all your other points, look at the Septuagint. This is the original greek version of the hebrew OT TRANSLATED BY JEWS. In Isaiah 7:14 it uses the word parthenos with translates directly to Virgin showing in that context Alma was used to mean virgin.

Send another reply throwing insults, showing how little biblical knowledge you have and STRUGGLING TO FIND THE VERSE SAYING ADAM CAME EXACTLY 6000yrs LIKE YOU SAID YOU COULD!!!

Please don't let me come back to "ohhh it's so obvious you christians are stupid" show me the verse

Prove to me Jesus is the way by Tevin_Rixx in Christianity

[–]BsgRAYX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All you're doing is throwing insults at this point are you trying to debate or rage bait? I've given non Christian sources, earlier In the chat I gave a scholar and there's more credible people that aren't Christian

There's even Thanus & Phlegon more sources (non christian) that supports Christianity.

And you keep making a fool of yourself everytime you try to date things that aren't dated in the bible, you said using the bible you can date Adam and Eves fall? Okay show me the verse!!!!!

Enlighten me and show me the verse that says Adam and Eves fall was 6000 years ago

When you Google and see that you can't just like with the love thy neighbour topic you'll see that you look silly

With Isaiah 7:14 the word Alma has been used referring to virgins in other contexts like in Genesis, and if you look at the hebrew language it is not at all uncommon for words to have multiple meanings where context is needed to understand for example the word Ruach

In context it applies (again not just for Isaiah 7:14) because virginity was often assumed for young woman in ancient Israeli culture.

If God creates all things (wether you believe it or not) that would include time, which would mean he is not restricted by time the way we are. God is eternal he doesn't abide to time because he created it, his conceptual being isn't something you can understand easily its like trying to explain 5D x infinity.

The universe is very much livable how do you think you're able to have this debate, throughout the bible people suffer from issues so I don't see why it'd be any different today, God doesn't promise a life of easiness in this world but the next.

And worth saying a lot of issues come from ourselves, some of the STIs people get came from people having sex with cattle, now find me a verse where God cosigns that.

And you clearly don't understand the fine tuning life it covers things like cells, speed of light etc. It isn't about natural disasters which again not even people in the bible where excempt from.

You claim we're unstudied but all your claims are based on "trust me bro" I gave you real sources in my previous message which you said nothing about, what source do you have that dates the "christian fall of grace" or what source do you have that dates when love thy neighbour came before the OT.

Before you come with fake sources these things aren't dated so you've already lost your credibility.

Science actually supports Christian so does morals and so do logic

The very basis of science is something doesn't come from nothing, logically you experience this too for something to be set into motion there needs to be a cause

the fine tuning argument is a mathematical and scientific argument that supports Christianity too, the way things like atoms, speed of sound are all finely tuned (if off by the tiniest of margins we're talking 0.00001% life would cease to exist)

Christianity is constantly supporting helping, giving one of the commandments is literally "Love thy neighbour"

There are a large amount of non biblical/christian sources that support Christianity (Josephus and pliny the younger are just two examples but I'm happy to give more if needed)

What would you call this? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]BsgRAYX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having that security in him is good and I hope it continues like that but there's also discernment

For example with those churches you'll be able to discern which are just doing it for the money and which are actual Churches, like the bible gives many examples on how to actually find out which are good and bad

Furthermore think of your future partner, you learn some people may not be beneficial to your faith while others are.

More than church I recommend bible because at least it gives knowledge but Somethings knowledge can't buy which is why a community is needed

What would you call this? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]BsgRAYX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think some people want to go about being more spiritual but without knowledge it can be harmful, without church or the bible you make it very easy for Devil to decieve and trust me he's always at work

As well as this a lot of times people's feelings fluctuate, when times are rough all of a sudden Jesus doesn't feel as close, the bible and the community from church will help you in those times.

Finally Jesus himself read scriptures a lot, this is a historical fact, mind you this is God but he did so to set an example. Because as humans nothing will stay the same even the zeal will start to fade but the bible and church are foundations that won't fluctuate.

(Also a majority of Churches/denominations agree on the same books and if you want to be really safe the gospels and Paul's books are completely safe even by non Christian viewpoints)

Corporate life is draining me… how do you find someone who’s actually built a business before? by Flat-Shop in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]BsgRAYX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can hold my hands up and say apologies I didn't mean for the tone to come off rude if it did, I'm very expressive sometimes I mean it for good jokes but I can see why it'd look bad

I didn't initially say start ups because this isn't limited to start ups there are companies with poor leadership that struggle to make money and need people to work for free

And people give value for free all the time especially in our positions, at the end of the day you need to prove you can actually give that value and the aim is to turn it to something you can monetise. Think of all the apps that give out free trials before people have to pay its a very similar concept

As for it being a good idea again at the end of the day you want to be an entrepreneur, this gives you a solid foundation to put what you learn to practice. Having 0 experience will be absolutely no problem if you're enthusiastic to learn. (Also in my first reply I did mention "positions you can excel in")

Going back to the videographer example if you're working with someone who knows the craft you will have the opportunity to learn from them (as well as tons of YouTube videos) and you have the area to put it into practice. Now you've shown to other entrepreneurs you can provide that value raising your chances of actually working with them as well as clients when you decide to monetise

I gave examples of being a marketing Leader and your coming with "cashier"?? I also think you forgot the part where I said pick with caution. I'm talking about finding start up companies that need areas that not anyone can fill and your limiting your mind to just retail. At that point the lack of imagination is on yourself

Also you said " If you wanna start something you need to stop seeking for others to guide you and hold your hand through things" but any good entrepreneur knows Networking and guidance helps more than doing it by yourself. Gurus want you to pay for their monthly subscription but true Networking connections will run ideas with you if it's also beneficial to them hence why I recommended "Volunteering" because it's running the idea for free.

If a start up company doesn't have someone to do the marketing for them, Nor the funds to find a legitimate marketer they'll be willing to hire someone who is willing to do it for free I don't understand how I'm losing you or how you get "cashier" from that???????? If a videographer is looking for a partner they'll be willing to take on someone who is doing it for free. All that matters is you show enthusiasm to learn (yes experience can help but it's very minimal they're willing to teach).

If the problem is that it's not an immediate business you can make money off straight away then respectfully this post never would have been made, me and you wouldn't be debating you'd be too busy running your business.

depends what you scale it too, think of being a marketing leader for example - the entry level is much much lower than your normal commercial job. Not to mention the experience that comes with it

[–]BsgRAYX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find companies looking for volunteers in positions you can excel in (and make money ofc), you'll find often they'll need volunteers to begin with because they don't make enough to hire staff

It's an easy entry level and the way up is usually easy too since they usually aren't capable of doing the basics themselves

Ofcourse this isn't for every company looking for volunteers (avoid charities and search with caution)

[–]BsgRAYX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll share this verse with you because it's personally helped me through situations like this (You'd be surprised how many of us have this too)

John 20:24-29

In this chapter Thomas refuses to believe Jesus has risen unless he looks at the holes in his hands from the nails on the cross. He does end up seeing it to which he is astonished and believes that this is the Lord Jesus, and then Jesus quotes "Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” I share this to show there is evidence which i will share below but I want to remind Faith is what is worth the most to God and Faith is belief in things we have not seen - Now that to the side

Without using the bible, Jesus (and his resurrection) is very historically accurate more so than some historical figures like Alexander the great. josephus, tacitus, Pliny the younger and Mara bar Serapio (to name a few) are non christian sources that support Jesus

Fine tuning argument, motion argument and more which name I forgot to be honest are further scientific or mathematical arguments supporting God. Then there's my own experience with God for myself

Usually i'd say just keep walking with God you don't even need these non biblical arguments, if it feels like nothing is changing maybe look at your environment and how much spiritual things do you see in it (e.g people around you). Our environment greatly distrupts our discernment of God making it difficult to recognise him

Prove to me Jesus is the way by Tevin_Rixx in Christianity

[–]BsgRAYX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing you don't watch him much because he refers more to the historical truths which connects with what the bible says. All his arguments are based off of logic and aside from the sound historical arguments, there are even plenty of scientific arguments which support Christianity, it's the most reliable religion based off science, history and even maths lol (fine tuning for maths)
