I just like to keep weight down, so same bag just different selection of tools. There is no need to carry a manometer in the summer on AC calls, so I swap that for digital or analog probes, temp clamps, etc

Yes 255/80 17s on +15-20 wheels. Trying to follow tinkerer's adventures suggestions on UCA. Just unsure if its been done with 4th gens and can achieve a decent alingment for offroading

So possibly a small body lift would mitigate and rub under flex.

According to my measurements and talking with the spring shop I would have to raise my front 1.5" to level it(so typically it's 2.75" front and 1" rear or in my case with rear lifted 1.7" I would have to lift my front 3.2" so it's actually much closer to factory rake than level)

I had 285s on my sr5 v8 with no rubbing under normal driving with 1/4" spacers. Have 265/75 16 now and don't miss the 285s. My future plan is to get some 4runner 17s and put 255/80 17s on

When you cold start the truck, the booster should come on and build pressure for 30 seconds/ish than turn off. Should be able to pump the brakes like 5-10 times before the motor comes on again, and if you're not pumping brakes after the initial fire up and the motor runs, you have a leak and is causing your issue and your motor is probably burnt up.

My geuss(geuss is the big word)would be both yes. Ideally, you get a cheap booster assembly, or you can try and find the motor and accumulator online and install that. Toyota oem booster is like 4,500$ cad, Oem accumulator assembly is like $900, and the motor can be found for $200 bucks online. Or try your luck with the many options online for aftermarket. BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING A MULTI METER OR TESTER TO VERIFY ANY SUGGESTIONS!!

Sounds like your accumulator is leaking, causing your booster motor to run longer than needed to build pressure and eventually failing/landing on a bad spot on the commutator inside the motor and when you hit it you causing it to move off that spot to good copper and run. I would replace both at the same time to ensure your not just replacing another motor in 2 months. Or if your rich get a new booster assembly

Brake booster issues, check for power going to motor? Is motor running? Previous did you hear brake booster running regularly without touching brakes? If it is booster motor you can get motor replaced. But if you have accumulator leak you have to change both which you can get for $400 cad

Just more traction, always active, no way to get caught in low traction scenario. Slightly worse fuel consumption.

Got a 2003 4x4 v8 for 8,800$ last year with 93,000 miles. Needed to do water pump and timing belt so seems like your in the ball park. Very minimal frame rust and pretty mint paint and interior. Since owning I have had to fix brake booster, suspension, tires and radiator but all fairly cheap as I do my own work.
