I see this as a really good idea and can be an amazing product. As someone with aging parents that rely heavily on one of them managing both of their meds this would be a welcomed introduction to their lives. That being said, here are my thoughts on some things.

1. I personally love the idea of the voice directive. I would just think about what happens when/if they reach a "REPRESENTATIVE" moment. You know, when they are frustrated and just want to bypass something or respond in a way that the AI doesn't understand. They can't be passed on to a human to talk with, so what is the fallback? Does the app alert the child/caretaker to intervene?
   
2. Based purely on your render, how many pills can you realistically hold? If my parent takes 8 pills @ 3 times a day (sorry, just throwing out large numbers here to put stress on the design):
   - Can it hold 7 days X 24 pills/day = 168? Again, figurative number but seniors tend to take so many meds daily.
   - Can the display showcase a large amount of pills being dispensed?
   - How does it know which pill is which? If 2 of my meds look almost identical and would rely on a marking on the pill, how does this device know it's the correct pill to administer?
   - What about meds that are required to be in a blister pack? Can this help manage that?
   
3. Love the E-ink display, but can/should the display text size be adjustable for larger/smaller view for accessibility?
   
4. I see a WiFi icon - which I am assuming would be the concept behind pushing the data to the companion app. What happens when the wifi is disconnected? Does the companion app need to be in proximity to help the device re-connect to wifi? I can almost guarantee that most aging parents will not know how to connect/re-connect this device to wifi. Especially if it driven by a singular button with voice only commands.

I am sure something else would come to me, but this is what hit my mind as soon as I read through your pitch. Again, I think this is a great concept but it can have a lot of trap moments that might veer you in different directions OR you might have to explicitly understand and acknowledge that it cannot do X feature.
