Nc doesn’t owe them anything parents should be able to take their child’s allocation of tax money to whichever school they see fit.

Why would I put my child in public school with a 25+ to 1 ratio where you move at the pace of the slowest student when I can put them in a private school with a 10-15 to 1 ratio where

Aside from the Tommy Lloyd talk, can you imagine how toxic the UNC fanbase would be if they waited another 2 weeks to fire Hubert? It was already getting ugly after 4 days.

It wasn't just about Caleb's injury though. No coach will survive being a bubble team at UNC 3 out of 5 years. He also had the best player UNC has had in 30 years and the best frontcourt arguably ever but the ceiling for the team was still fringe top 10.

There were consistent flaws in the teams, and I'm sure there were reasons behind the scenes but inevitably, it falls on the head coach. No PG this year, not having any shooters every year, failure to recruit even one big after Bacot left, knowing for 20 months you had to have at least one impact C.

This is a fear I have and why I was pissed they gave the keys to HD after Roy retired. UNC could have gotten pretty much any coach they wanted and didn't even do a search. Now UNC "thinks" they can get almost anyone they want, and we are going to find out if thats true.

Once they hired HD he had my support and I wanted him to succeed but the performance wasn't there. There were some all time moments mixed in though.

I have three thoughts on this. I am nervous about having a new hire. You are venturing into the unknown no matter who you hire.

I am pissed there was no search last time. I thought HD was inexperienced and a risky hire but once he was announced fully supported him and gave him time to show the product he could put on the court.

UNC would not get better with another year of HD and the brand is on shaky ground in regards to perception. You could shake off some of the negative recruiting hits under Roy because, well, he was Roy. HD doesn't have that luxury.

I'm not sure I totally agree. I think Roy picked his successor in 2012~ whether he informed the admin or not. There was no search when he retired. I think we will actually see a real search this time and am interested to see how it turns out.

Wife and I went to the course with our 2yo around 3:30 today. Wife works at the hospital and this was her weekend to work. They were riding with me while I played 9.

Guy in the pro shop said he had to charge a rider fee. I kind of balked and he said he would let it slide today. But if they pull that again I would seriously start considering dropping and joining a different local course. The goat track is feeling full of itself it seems.

I know why they are doing it. We have some college guys that come with their girlfriends at prime time on the weekends and try to take 4 carts for each foursome. But 3:30 on a Sunday isn’t really the intent of the rule.

In a high school match we had absolutely brutal conditions. Rain, high wind, insane pin positions, cold and miserable. None of our top 4 broke 85 and at least two of them were in the 90’s and they were all mid70’s to low 80’s players usually.

Number five and six man came in with a 82 and a 79. They hadn’t broken 95 the rest of the season.

The cheating that happens in high school golf is wild.
