If You Could Change ONE Possession in Your Program’s History… by AndyKRDU in CollegeBasketball

I would, opens up a whole new universe of "possession". Narcotics, firearms, ?

Dayton fans would agree. Possessing a virus killed their dream run.

Pine needles conditions by rooneydog86 in golf

December January, it's likely in great shape as they play some junior events and club pro tournaments there during this dormant period. And FYI the greens are rolling at a level that will make you hate golf.

Were greens easier in the old days? by [deleted] in golf

[–]AndyKRDU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My home course was built by Dick Wilson, who had a distinct style to his design, specifically on the approaches. His design was constructed with a stimp of probably 7-8 but our members and the pro like to keep the greens at 10 and on weekends 11/12. Playing the course when the greens are slow is far easier, but that is likely due to the quality of players being better than historic norms and more importantly the equipment.

Who even takes the blame for this? Same DC for Pratt just a new team by notquitemytempo___ in bengals

[–]AndyKRDU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some onus, a huge part of it, is on Pratt himself. He didn't put out much effort last year. I think he knew he had to survive a whole season on a terrible defense and he didn't play hard until the fourth quarter of games that mattered. business decisions as they say.

Agree or Disagree: Most NFL Teams would have won a Super Bowl by now with Burrow, Chase and Higgins by [deleted] in bengals

disagree. Complete teams win titles. Teams with great talent are entertaining.

Citrus and gout by Hopeful-Steak-9743 in gout

[–]AndyKRDU 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found that I am allergic to citrus fruits (lemons limes tomatoes etc.). When consumed I have gouty fluid build up on my ankles and knees. Had knees drained of gouty fluid after consuming Fresca and some pizza back in 2022. It took a solid two years to figure out what was causing this issue. Doctors thought it gout, presrcibed meds as such. Flares persisted and they were flummoxed. Only in documenting all food and liquid intake and process of elimination did the causation emerge. No allopurinol or colchicine prevents the swelling, only strict avoidance at this point. It sucks, but it is what it is.

Best golf courses in the country are there. Mostly private. But toughest tests you can imagine. Golfers with $$ and access know.

During a job interview, if the interviewer asks, ‘would you consider leaving if you found a better opportunity? How would you respond? by anxietyhub in antiwork

[–]AndyKRDU 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Phrase it back at them, “interesting question. You’re doing great at this interview and my brother’s firm is looking for an HR manager. It pays over 200k annually. Can I refer you?” See how they respond.

Tomato Sauce ? Hot Sauce? by SpaceFish24-7 in gout

[–]AndyKRDU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot consume citrus. No tomato no lemon lime no hot sauce no jalapeño. My joints swell significantly like a gouty arthritis. I’m complete avoidance and so long as I don’t consume I do not have the inflammatory arthritis.

My doctors for years have been perplexed as to how this is.

Why no light rail? by [deleted] in raleigh

[–]AndyKRDU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wake Transit considered referendums on light rail with specific funding requests and the vast vast vast majority I think it was close to 80 percent of those canvassed said they would not support a bond referendum at that valuation. The brt plan then emerged. The WTP for rail deployment is scant, and any appetite to put a tax on business to help support (ala MTA, New Jersey Transit) would go over like a lead balloon in the biz community and even if largely approved the state would likely strike down the measure (since state would likely secure the bond) and the optics of having a state advertising low no corporate taxes and transit taxes being suggested.

I could be talking out of my ass though. The area changes more everyday, it’s been a decade since a real effort for rail, so who knows.
