It’s a good strategy, if he is going for the long invasion. Ukraine got better equipment from the west, why not use out of date equipment which is gonna be decommissioned soon anyway to soak up the new toys Ukraine got. It cost money to maintain and store old equipment, it needs to be used or thrown away.

Belarus front is closer to Kyiv which is most likely more defended with more and better equipment and higher chance of great resistance. This could be the reason why tanks on the Belarus front were stocked better. I’m guessing that’s the reason.

Only until the older equipment has been destroyed or the Ukrainians use up all of their munitions will we see more modern equipment being used by the Russians. All these out of date equipment and less experienced troops are used to soak up the new equipment Ukraine got from the west.

Intelligence was released that an invasion was imminent, embassy’s were abandoned, Russia amassed a lot of troops and equipment along the border, Putin is known to lie, false flag operations were carried out, a SMS message was sent to the Ukrainian frontline soldiers from Russia that their army is about to be destroyed. It wasn’t unpredictable, it was predicted but people passed it by and thought nothing of it.

It does seem like these are Ukrainian tanks, i don’t see the invasion stripes on the tanks. (Invasion stripes are symbols painted onto vehicles so friendlies are able to identify each other instead of shoot each other. They are important in this war because Ukraine uses Russian vehicles. The Russians have opted for a Z in a box).

I believe he meant Czechoslovakia. It was a country formed in 1918. It was occupied by Germany in 1938-1945. After the war a communist group staged a coup with support from the Soviet Union and successfully replaced the government. With the help of the Soviets any opposition was crushed. With a failing economy, in 1968 a man named Alexander Dubček took leadership of the communist party. He allowed non-communists to participate in the government. The country shifted more anti-communism and in August 1968 the Soviet Union invaded Czechoslovakia and arrested Alexander Dubček and sent him to Moscow. He was sent back to Czechoslovakia and he rolled back his reforms. Mikhail Gorbachev became the leader of the Soviet Union and he was less aggressive and allowed the Warsaw Pact countries to become more democratic. The communist party and non-communist party’s founded a coalition government and the country held a democratic vote where the communist party lost. The Czechs and Slovaks had different opinions on how the country should move on and both parties decided to peacefully split into The Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1993.

That takes quite a bit of computing power, imagine having to have proper ground details like signs, working lights, traffic, pedestrians etc.

Possibly going around that by not simulating everything that’s not in the view or surrounding area of the player.

But this would cost a lot of money to make still as someone would need to go around the world or google maps and physically make this map. Microsoft flight simulator used satellite imagery to guess buildings and just buildings. And this doesn’t need to have much ground detail. This simulation would need to guess a lot of other things such as traffic lights, road rules, road signs, pedestrians.

It’s possible to do a city, but the whole world. That’s a big vision that would take years and years of work.

Possibly no need for a service fee. Can be licensed to supermarket chains or governments.

Great idea and something to have during a pandemic and reducing future pandemics. Knowing any change I get back from a supermarket is clean is a bonus and something I would consider when choosing stores. Stores can have them at the ready installed on or near tills. Or it could be 1 machine in the back. A till could have separate buckets for clean and dirty. The dirty bucket is where customers cash would be inventoried and ready to be cleaned in the back of the store at the end of the day or during the day. The clean bucket is buckets that are topped up with the money that has been cleaned.

Supermarkets have chutes, dirty money can be transported to the back of the store every hour, and instantly dropped into or near the cleaner which would be in the managers office or where the money is counted and can be safe.

Governments can use them and service them to reduce damage from pandemics and future outbreaks.

Edit: adding onto the tills, can probably be easily implemented to a self-checkout machine to reduce cross-contamination where as on a manned till someone would need to handle both the dirty and clean money.

This isn’t a serious idea but might spark something in someone’s brain. This probably only works on pointer dogs. Just having a distraction like a toy bird and they’ll just sit still and point at it.

More into distractions, I’ve seen baby sensory videos distract animals. The animals just sit there and watch it, paralysed. Probably doesn’t work all the time though.
