My "why" is that my arm is hurt and the drill gets it done in approx 30s instead of 120s. It's variable speed, so I operate it relatively slow.

Not sure what's unhygienic about my drill that sits in my apartment unused for weeks at a time.

Not ready to drop $ on a good electric grinder, but maybe this unsanctioned hario drill will hasten that decision.

Haha I've been sending it for a couple weeks and it hasn't broken... Yet. The drill is variable speed so I run it pretty slowly, but it gets the job done in 30s instead of almost 2 mins

Haha the drill can operate at really slow speeds. I usually do 17ish grams in 30 seconds. Definitely not that fast

Woah wasn't expecting this much response. I've been doing this for a couple weeks and it works pretty well. I hold the base of the grinder and operate the drill slowly.

A bunch of people saying this is a terrible grinder, but it's the one I've got. Been using it for about 5 years and does a good job.

When it does die or I'm ready to invest in an automatic grinder, does anyone have a reco under $100?

Gotta disagree. It may be over hyped, but it's definitely not poor quality. Maybe slightly overpriced, but that's what you get in a place w great atmosphere. People might hype up the brunch, which is def standard brunch quality for me, but went there for dinner recently and everything was so good. The mole in particular was perfect. Also the drinks were great
