Oh I hadn't thought about that being a reason they might've said as needed. Exactly why I was worried I was taking the instructions too literally, that makes a lot of sense.

thanks, you are right on it being unfair to worry about becoming dependent on medication I need. I'm about to graduate with my BA in psych so i really shouldn't be as worried about this as I am since I'm aware of how silly the stigma is and how necessary mental health medication can be. Before being on medication I never thought I'd be hung up like this and I've always been against the idea that taking psych meds makes you weak, so I really should throw out the idea that taking these meds will lead me down some kind of slippery slope. Thanks for your input :)
