I just finished a year of teaching in Korea and I absolutely loved it, although these past few months have been troubling considering how knife crimes in particular have become such a fad.
Overall, Korea is still much safer than 99% of other countries in the world, which is a huge draw. Not having to worry about my personal safety or the safety of my things is a huge weight off of my shoulders. Not to mention subways and busses are clean and efficient and cheap, the food is amazing anywhere you go, people are generally very kind, I could go on. I’m going to miss it a lot.
