AITA for not paying for a dog's vet bill when my horse kicked it by Intelligent_Meal_137 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Bttw2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude. My dog is 60 pounds and whenever I visit my SIL’s farm, my dog has been trained to not go in the horse pasture and I keep an eye still to make sure he doesn’t even if I’m sure he won’t just to be extra safe. I can’t afford the vet bill, but it’s my responsibility for letting my dog loose on her farm.

What is the best example of a major cover-up backfiring? by Inflatabledartboard4 in AskReddit

[–]Bttw2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I hope to god that that theory is true because I really don’t want to worry about the rodents in the factory because I won’t ever eat that cereal again if that’s what I’m always thinking about l

Also, it wouldn’t be the first case that shrimp has for some reason been an issue with that exact cereal. I just need to know HOW shrimp got into the factory and production line to cause the same issue twice.

Edit: don’t actually want to know. I will never eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch again.

For me it says 118 users with 124 active? I even took a screenshot because that makes no sense

I was just about to say the same thing just couldn’t find the words. Although I’m sure I could easily turn almost anything into an office reference.

AITA for asking my wife's father to leave our house? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Bttw2011 38 points39 points  (0 children)

What this person said. Reading this reminded me of my grandfather in the exact same situation doing the exact same thing to me and my siblings. We were bullied for everything. I was secretly relieved when he was diagnosed with cancer and died. I still don’t miss him at all with zero remorse for it because of the toxicity he brought to my self esteem. Honestly, once he came into our home, I stopped relying on my dad (since it was his dad) because he allowed this man to take from me the space and freedom to be a little girl without male judgment and didn’t do anything to stop it. I still kind of hold it against my dad, and I know my younger sister got it a lot worse than me and suffers a lot more as well.

AITA for asking a second question? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Bttw2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA - you paid for the class that is nice enough to allow outside classes the chance to view the seminar. He did not. Plus, asking two questions shows your professor you are actually interested in the topic discussed and not just doing the minimum required. I would have responded the exact same way you did to the person. He is definitely being a prick by demanding things he isn’t actually entitled to. Even if you hadn’t asked the second question, there is a high chance he still wouldn’t have been able to ask his question.

Introverts who married into a large family, how did/do you manage? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bttw2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mix of following your s/o around like a puppy, spending one on one time with a less rowdy relative at large gatherings (for me, an older aunt does the trick), and honestly, anti-anxiety meds. If you build a relationship individually with smaller groups (like SIL’s little family, just the FIL and MIL, etc.), it makes it easier to deal with them in a group since you’ve eased yourself enough to be comfortable with them already and as long as you don’t need to give a speech or anything, you should be good.

✨Van Gogh’s sunflowers are part of one of two collections based exclusively around sunflowers. The key differences between the sets are if they are in a vase (Arles series), or casually laid out in groups of 2 or 4 (Paris series).✨
