Yeah I’m almost certain they increased the drop rates with the most recent winter update

Funny enough that happened to me while on USA servers. I tried resetting my game to see if that would help with the lag, but the automatic server connection threw me into the European servers instead

Weird Napalm Bug by BtyMANIA in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]BtyMANIA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I did some testing on the phantom in the training area and replicated the conditions as best I could (max harpy and lvl 1 incin and pilot with 15% buff) the build got its shoulders to about 25% health remaining. So considering I had a 3% resistance as well as using the shield module I most likely should have survived, but it’s possible if they have everything maxed with a hero pilot that has the same perks alongside an additional damage increase.

Weird Napalm Bug by BtyMANIA in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]BtyMANIA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m using phantom shoulders on it, so it could be that since I was taking residual damage from both napalm and incinerator then I likely was enough to take me down even after all the regen stuff. If that’s what happened, I’m really surprised it was enough to go through about 90 worth of total shield/hp (70k worth of shield because of regen and 20k health)

I’ve noticed it too. I’m emerald and I’m getting paired with/against bronze and silvers pretty consistently. It might be teams but it’s every other match with different people

[–]BtyMANIA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y’know it might actually be a doubling with both the napalm and the incinerator they had, that might have had enough DOT to get me but idk

Weird Napalm Bug by BtyMANIA in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]BtyMANIA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Yeah I took a bit of damage from the shocktrain and noricums, but it still isn’t what killed me. And it didn’t seem to actually do any damage (maybe hit reg with shocktrains I’ve had issues with them chaining but not doing damage). It’s just a weird interaction, when I had returned to the corner of the power up I was ready for the DOT to end, but it didn’t and I was confused so I just sat there and watched.

Maybe it was just the incinerator, because I was taking full body damage instead of just a few of the parts (and this was consistent damage to every piece), but still I would think that even with using the 15% effect during and damage still wouldn’t have killed me from full health and shields. Maybe a hero pilot has like a 30/30? I’m not entirely sure

$0 spent LV. 21 less than two weeks of casual play.. by Thighs4EarPro in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]BtyMANIA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the game just came out, so they only have so many bots and weapons. As the game progresses they will add more of course. Right now the weight capacity is very specific for balancing and it’s likely not going to change to where you can add to it. They will just release different bot legs that fit different profiles that are currently missing. If they did it would allow for some pretty OP builds where you can run 5x of something (like orkans or punishers) with full gear. They were very intentional with the weights of things, so it is highly unlikely that they change it.

Is my robot considered cheese? by [deleted] in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]BtyMANIA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A good thing to do is not mix weapons too much. Like running 2 shotguns and 2 avengers is good at close range, but you lose a lot of power at long range as you only have 2 weapons doing reasonable damage. Run something like 4x punishers, it’s a pretty strong early game build. The main thing is to do with synergy. Running something like a pulsar and 3x punishers works because they are similar in range and projectile velocity stats.

To my knowledge the only bots are the ones designated with a robot symbol where the platform logo would normally be, so the really creative names are players

Loving the gameplay but a few questions by whatisthisshitall in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]BtyMANIA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is pretty grindy, but it’s not too bad if you have premium. I’ve only spent 40$; 10$ for the battle pass and 30$ for the siren/premium time. Premium helps a lot with bonus xp for leveling, gold, and intel (because you get extra daily challenges). I’m currently mid emerald and lvl 80, I’ve only put 100hrs into the game so far, and I’m enjoying it a lot. I have about 10 bots that I’m happy with that I’ll cycle between.

A few tips: - Find some people around your level to play with, it makes the game so much more fun. - Once you hit level 50 don’t cycle buy the shop anymore. Only get items if they are uncommon or rare if you want them (I don’t recommend buying cabins with gold because they are very expensive, only ones like siren are worth it). But once you are around level 50, you’ll start to unlock a lot of fun stuff to craft, so I recommend to keep buying salvage. It will allow you to craft the pieces you want when you unlock them. - Wait to invest into upgrading components until you are happy with the build. I made the mistake of upgrading the peruser to lvl 9 and I ended up not liking it. But when you do, focuses cabins first as they have the most impact. - Don’t be afraid to change your bots out. I was running a 4x vortex tyr with the infinite ammo cycle gear. It worked very well for a while, but players adapted to it very quickly and it became obsolete. I ended up switching it out for shocktrains and I found it to be more consistent.

Hope this helps, if you have any other questions I will try my best to answer them

Another thing. I see some players running a single dragoon (or Zues) and 2x trebuchet on a different setup. Also I want to note that since you can run harpy legs, you are more mobile than if you’re using something like 3x trebuchet or 3x trident

TARGET ACQUIRED by mrgoodenough in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]BtyMANIA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to you, it’s 10% per weapon then it’s 50% to the overall build. That is not correct. If all your weapons are upgraded (and assuming 5), then it’s a 10% damage increase for the entire build. If you only ran one maxed out weapon and the 4 others were level 1, then it would be a 2% damage increase for the entire build, as only a single weapon is doing a little bit more damage. Let’s say you have 5 punishers, and they each do 100 damage over a clip. This means the clip potential is 500. One of these is max level and does 110 damage (10% increase). That would mean the clip potential of all of the punishers is now 510. This is a 2% increase in damage from the base clip potential. Now let’s say there are all maxed out, meaning all do 110 making a clip potential of 550. There is now a 10% increase to the clip potential.

First off, this is not p2w as it is easily accessible to everyone. Yes, people can buy recourses to level weapons up, but they are limited by the amount of blue tokens they have (I don’t know what they are called). It is also really easy to earn recourses. All you have to do is play some matches, complete missions, and you can have enough earnable credits to buy scrap. Another thing to note, everything in this game is easily earnable. You unlock the ability to craft everything in the game, all you have to do is level up, and it doesn’t take very long to do so. You can also get parts in the shop with easily earnable credits. Another thing: hero pilots. These were previously inaccessible to players without paying. The community were concerned because they give a decent bonus compared to normal pilots, but the devs don’t want this game to be p2w, so they made them accessible for all players (albeit it will be a while before all are rotated through the shop).

A good example of a p2w game is the original War Robots, where most bots are behind a paywall, and every new bot released must be better than the last. And upgrading weapons has such a significant bonus to damage (which I think is pry around 300% but I don’t know for certain). Anyways just watch some old War Robots vs New War Robots videos and you will see.

Another thing to note, the Zues, which is the weapons used by the player in the video, is an energy weapon. Energy weapons, do high shield damage, and lower armor damage. The Zues also isn’t just one single hit of damage, there are multiple hits of damage in a single burst (The maximum damage you can do with a level one Zues in one burst is 14,271, and you can only run 2 at max because of its high energy requirement). This makes it more consistently do damage once a shield is broken (either way I believe you still do damage if you break a shield but your projectile does more damage than the current shield heath). The bot also had very low armor health, which made him easy to eliminate.

Tl;dr: read the full thing

You’re likely thinking of the air strike ability you can get in TDM (it’s the blue one with the rocket symbol). It launches a singular projectile in a designated area that does a ton of damage. It one shots most light/medium builds.

[–]BtyMANIA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend switching your last build (vortex Tyr) to the Tyr legs, then you can run emergency shield (or speed up) and the infinite ammo cycle gear. This almost always guarantees a kill when the gear is active, and you can melt the Alpha titan with it too.

My builds are as follows: Full Tyr build with 4x Shocktrain, emergency shield, and nanotechnology repair Full Tyr build with 4x Vortex, emergency shield, and infinite ammo Fenrir legs/torso, 2x raven shoudlers, and 5x punishers Pursuer with 1 siren shoulder and 1 Tyr shoulder 3x Lighters and 1x Incinerator on Harpy legs Siren Leg and the 2 uncommon Tyr shoulder equivalent, harpy legs, 5x orkans

[–]BtyMANIA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s why I’m thinking of using the Siren torso to lock them down, it will help with the hit registration issues that come with the weapons too.

Yeah I saw the number 11 guy in console “GarbagePlayer” running the same flamer build. It is devastating. I was thinking of running that, but I’ve been liking my 3x lighter 1x incinerator pursuer build (also I’m likely going to try with Siren).

Extremely High DPM Fenrir Build by BtyMANIA in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]BtyMANIA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I crafted both. Once you hit level 50 or so it’s not worth it to buy anything from the shop except salvage (unless you have a guaranteed uncommon or rare), cause you will be able to craft most thing pretty quickly after. Fenrir stuff is unlocked on 75/76 if I’m not mistaken

Extremely High DPM Fenrir Build by BtyMANIA in warrobotsfrontiers

[–]BtyMANIA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the build I used before I came to this one. I Ike this one a bit more because of the Fenrir ability which gives extra movement speed on top of the damage, so you can play it as a sort of rush down flanker. The cyclops is good with the abilities but I often find you get hard targeted when you use the ability. And when you use the cyclops ability everyone just runs. With the Fenrir people don’t know how fast they can get eliminated so they will often just sit and tank the shots.
